So Banni tell us why Vred has access to IP addresses as she has said? She wouldn't be full of crap now would she? Some of her followers are saying some here have privileges to such things. Are they full of Sh*t or does Vred have access.

One of our conservative friends also have the power as sort of a balance.

I personally don't care about who is posting from multiple ip's nor do I keep up with it. I have real life stuff to do, or forum work to do like blocking those damn Russian spammers.

Woh, hold it there, Vrede should have access to see what posts are under what IP address. It's not all good news for you.

If Vrede says you posted under the alias "No more koolaid" I'd believe him/her.

IP addresses aren't an exact identifier, especially where a bunch of local posters post. It's completely possible that two users could post from the same IP at one point.

The language truly gives you away in the post that Vrede gave as an example. If there are other handles that you've been accused of I don't know.

Well, I sort of have. No credentials, of course, but I have told "Reality" that I've been studying the military from an activist's perspective for longer than he served. That's why I know that the tally of nukes has been public knowledge for the decades that we've had arms control agreements, something he remains ignorant of.

It seems like there were four or five other occasions, at least, where you or I corrected his ignorant assumptions in matters related to the military.

I notice that posting of the IP addresses has evidently shut him up; at least for now. Who would have thunk it? Posting of an IP address isn't unethical in my opinion. You can find, check, show, abuse, flaunt, or deny your IP address by clicking certain buttons. It doesn't provide a geographical location as far as I know, but that could be obtained from an ISP with a warrant, or maybe without one in these days of hardly any Homeland Security. If you don't want anyone to know your IP address, you can get a cheap dialup internet connection, which I believe is not a static IP address. I wonder if the colonel has run out to buy a new computer and a grammar book? Nah, no way.....

I am not well versed in computer operations; it's just something I've never been interested in. In fact, were it not for the free Obama computer classes that I received in conjunction with my free Obama gas, I would not know anything about computers other than consider them a fancy typewriter. I suppose I recommend that all posters just be honest, or barring that, have their IP addresses tattooed on their foreheads (this would apply only to those who attempt to be other posters by deceit and general foulness).

IP addresses are hardly sensitive information, and can be found by anyone that really wants to. These days there's not really anything evil or ingenious you can do with that information. Back when Windows 95/98 was the most used operating system..... different story.... I had some fun with that in a former life..... Most insecure operating systems ever. As far as location goes, you can use it to find the IP's city and state, but not with 100% accuracy. For instance, if someone were to look up mine the most they will get is a hint I'm in "ard" - Arden. I'm not, I'm in Edneyville.

Yes dialup accounts do have dynamic IP addresses, but most internet including DSL and Cable do as well. Normally you'd have to pay extra for a dedicated IP. Even the server that this forum is hosted on is a dynamic IP address. The colonel does seem to be an exception.

If the Detective would like them removed regardless, he's welcomed to contact me, and they will be removed. It's no big deal.... here's mine currently: 74.243.161.84
