I ignored a request to petition Boehner to change his mind. The irony is too delicious.
I try not to pay much attention to the batshit-crazy crowd, but when I heard Michelle Bachmann was on the House Intelligence committee, I did the ROTFL routine.
Meanwhile the Republicans on the House Science Committee includes their crowd of evolution deniers, global warming deniers, "legitimate rape" experts, and people known for trying to cut off billions in funding for scientific research and math and science education.
At least Republicans are consistent.
"All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and the Big Bang Theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of Hell. And it’s lies to try to keep me and all the folks who were taught that from understanding that they need a savior."

What a frickin' nutjob. He's got Bachmann beat. If she's on Intelligence, he certainly should be on Science.
Senior campaign staffers who worked for Michelle Bachmann in the 2012 race say that she's refused to pay them unless they sign an NDA promising not to disclose any criminal and unethical activity they witnessed on the campaign. So they went to the Federal Election Commission and, er, disclosed.
Being a suspect in a criminal investigation is the sort of thing that disqualifies you from working with state secrets. But somehow I doubt that she'll be kicked off the House Intelligence Committee.
