This wall business is ignorance on a grand scale. For the money that's already been spent, the entire border could have been observed by drones and cameras, dozens of small CBP outposts could have been erected and staff and vehicles could have been provided that would afford a likely less than ten minute response from anywhere to apprehend humans traveling on foot. This isn't hard to comprehend.
The visual of Cheetohead standing in front of a line of drones doesn't reek of photo op.
According to an indictment, which was unsealed ahead of his initial court appearance, Bannon is being charged with multiple crimes, including conspiracy and money laundering, based on his work with We Build the Wall, a nonprofit that raised $25 million dollars through an online crowdfunding campaign to fund construction of a wall along the southern border.
Bannon faces a maximum sentence of between five and 15 years, if convicted on the most serious charge. We Build the Wall was also charged in the indictment.
"in handcuffs"
"while getting heckled by people looking on."
I never knew how beautiful those phrases could be.
Bannon fans and other Trumpettes have a dilemma. Do they support:
TRE45ON-toady Bannon the con man?
TRE45ON, Bannon's accessory after the fact?
Trumpettes and other xenophobes that were stupid enough to give their hard-earned dollars to WBTW?
Just kidding, even the ones that were scammed will continue worshiping Bannon and TRE45ON. That's how they are.

You had me going there for a sec.
Great minds . . .
There once was a bum named Bannon,
with a mouth as loud as a cannon
he said, “I’ll build a wall,
a hundred feet tall.”
So send me your cash,
and I’ll keep out the trash.
But he snookered the fools,
who gladly became tools.
Now the joke is on them,
but they still blame the Dems.
A Colorado businessman was convicted Friday of charges that he and others siphoned hundreds of thousands of dollars from an online fundraiser to build a wall along the U.S. southern border despite a promise to donors that every cent would go toward building the wall.
Timothy Shea stared straight ahead without reaction as he was convicted in Manhattan federal court of two conspiracy counts and an obstruction of justice charge by a jury that deliberated about six hours after a one-week retrial. He said nothing when he was asked to comment as he left the building. Sentencing was set for Jan. 31.
Another jury deadlocked on charges in the spring after 11 jurors wrote a note to the judge to say one juror had accused the others of being politically biased and suggesting the trial should be held in the South.
Biased con asshole.
Shea, of Castle Rock, Colorado, was charged two years ago along with three others, including Steve Bannon, the former top adviser to then-President Donald Trump. Bannon, who is now being prosecuted in state court, was pardoned by Trump just before he left office last year. Two others have pleaded guilty.
With its verdict, the jury rejected arguments by Shea's lawyer, John Meringolo, that prosecutors had failed to prove there was fraud in the promotion of the “We Build The Wall” fundraiser that attracted $25 million in donations from hundreds of thousands of people across the country....
Shea owns an energy drink company, Winning Energy, whose cans have featured a cartoon superhero image of Trump and claim to contain “12 oz. of liberal tears.”
Who is crying now?
... Bannon, 68, last month pleaded not guilty to New York state charges alleging that he cheated investors to the “We Build The Wall” campaign. Presidential pardons apply only to federal crimes.
Mixed feelings here. Of course I think the fraudsters should be locked up for a long time, but anyone who preys exclusively on gullible, hateful Trumpettes and other xenophobes is also kind of a hero.
A Colorado businessman convicted of fraudulently siphoning hundreds of thousands of dollars from an online fundraiser that raised $25 million to build a wall along the U.S. southern border was sentenced Tuesday to five years and three months in prison.
Timothy Shea was sentenced in Manhattan federal court by Judge Analisa Torres, who presided over an October trial that ended with his conviction on charges including conspiracy to commit wire fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering and obstruction of justice....
Shea, 52, of Castle Rock, Colorado, also was ordered to forfeit $1.8 million and to pay restitution of an equal amount.

Trump pardoned Bannon in early 2021 while two others pleaded guilty and were sentenced to prison. Bannon, who is now being prosecuted in New York state court, has pleaded not guilty.
Lock him up, too!
... Prosecutors said Shea pocketed $180,000 in a fundraiser that promised donors that 100% of the money raised would go toward building the wall.

Under new management after the fire sale. Now features a cartoon superhero image of Joltin' Joe and claims to contain “12 oz. of con tears.”
... Earlier this year, Brian Kolfage and Andrew Badolato were sentenced after pleading guilty to charges in the case. Kolfage, 41, of Miramar Beach, Florida, received four years and three months in prison while Andrew Badolato, 58, of Cocoa, Florida, was sentenced to three years in prison.
Although unintentional, mr. shea's fraud served our country by promoting a scam that directed some 25 million rightwinger dollars away from a possible use in trump's reelection campaign.
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”

Who could have ever predicted this? Oh that's right, everyone sane and honest.
