Must be an incentive to throw strikes. Otherwise, you're giving up a double to the speedy players.
I can see how there's a lot of strategy regarding a sprint. I assume the catcher does not have to touch the ball again once the sprint is announced. All outfielders should immediately run to somewhere around 2nd base in order to touch the ball as quick as possible. I do figure there's ways to catch a sprinter. Hell, he could be tagged out between first and second if everybody goes bananas.
Got to see it in the bottom of the 5th. The Savannah player easily reached 2nd. He then made it home somehow - I can't find a box score on ESPN :ateeth: . They've got this article, but no box score or link to one:
How to watch Banana Ball: Tailgaters vs. Bananas on ESPN

In the top of the 7th I saw a fan put a Texas player out by catching a foul ball  . The stadium looks full - "capacity crowd".

Scored on a wild pitch for the point.

There's open seats in the upper deck.

Thanks for the reminder. It's in Philly, O Really. Capacity 42,901. Vs Texas Tailgaters.

As a currently suffering Cubs fan I can take a little solace from the struggling Dodgers with a lot less payroll.

Do you mean that the Cubs (#10, $207M) have a lower payroll than the Dodgers (#1, $394M)?
https://www.fangraphs.com/roster-resour ... ns/payroll

Does that translate to standings?
The Dodgers are tied for #1 in their division with the Padres (#8 payroll). GoO ReallyGo.
The Cubs are 2nd by 7.5 games in their division to the Brewers (#22 payroll). GOGoCubsGoGO.
The Cubs are .568, the Dodgers are .567.
The Mets (#2 payroll, $339M) are an anemic .538.

Go figure. Money ain't everything.

The announcer was reading a Motorola ad when the planes flew over and his voice registered surprise like the Cubs.

Brewers come back from 8 down yesterday. .
