I disagree. There's no doubt that it hit the bat, but did it graze the index finger first or did he get it completely out of the way? I think 'Not enough to overturn' was correct.

I thought the Cubs would be a lot of fun to watch and could compete this year.

They were and did.

And they certainly didn't quit.

We're one or two pitchers away (and it's a shame their two best starting pitchers were on the IL for the entire season and post season respectively).

Mariners vs @ Blue Jays

The Blue Jays have been twice and won twice, way back in 1992 and 1993. "The Seattle Mariners are the only MLB franchise that has never appeared in a World Series" Go Baseball! O Really, are you as conflicted as I am? ( I won't tell Lady O)

Ftr: "the Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, Tampa Bay Rays, and Colorado Rockies have all played in the Series but have never won it, with the Padres and the Rays appearing twice.

No conflict here. We became Jays fans back when we used to go to their spring training games in Florida. Lady O doesn't otherwise follow baseball enough to care much about the Mariners except that they are Seattle's team. But if they beat the Jays well root for them the rest of the way.
