I just opened the websites of a few major American news outlets. Every single one has a headline about the fucking reflecting pool. I want you all to take a step back for a moment and reflect about how stupid and meaningless and inconsequential the fucking reflecting pool is to anything important in the US or the world, yet its been dominating headlines thanks to that useless orange fuck.
I'm wondering if he's hiding out at Camp David getting medical treatment.
Many additional people have been arrested having to do with the disgraceful Vandalism of our beautiful Reflecting Pool. It hasn't looked or worked like this since 1922, when it was originally built, but even then, it leaked badly, and didn't work. Ours worked perfectly, including the mirror like finish, perfectly reflecting the two Great Monuments, which it never had before! What these terrible Vandals have done is a true affront to both Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, and should be dealt with accordingly. We met with contractors today, will probably be forced to release and drain much of the water in order to do the necessary repairs, but will have them done as quickly as possible. What they have damaged does not even include the earlier killing of a large amount of grass which was, by far, the least of it. They took some form of knife or blade, and put a 250 foot long gash into the beautiful facade of what took so much work, competence, and money to build and complete. They also poured corrosive and destructive chemicals into the Pool. The Reflecting Pool was never so beautiful as it was just one week ago, even going back to 1922 when it opened. We are very proud of what we have done with this magnificent structure, and we will get it repaired, quickly, to an equal level of Beauty. Thank you for your attention to this matter! Hearn, who says he has a background in material science, told CNN he checked it out following a bike ride after reading reports of algae in the water and paint or sealant peeling off the bottom.
Hearn said he was curious about a partially attached blue flap he saw at the bottom of the Reflecting Pool. Upon reaching into the water, Hearn said he "sort of felt the end" and "bent it around a little bit."
Hearn said a US National Park Service staffer instructed him not to reach into the water. After Hearn returned to his bike, he said was soon encountered by National Guard members and eventually arrested by the US Park Police. He said he was charged with destruction and defacing government property and disobeying a government employee.

The Olympic canoeist denied vandalizing the Reflecting Pool and said his actions were that of a "curious citizen."
"There's nothing about the Reflecting Pool that was in any different condition after I left there than it had before I went by there yesterday. I didn't remove anything. I didn't break, tear, peel, or rip, or destroy anything," Hearn said Saturday.
He is set to appear in court on July 9. CNN has reached out to the US Park Police and the National Park Service to ask about Hearn's account and for information on any other arrests.

I'm honestly unsure if this fiasco is even part of a grand strategy to shift focus away from other failures. DT's always been a pretty vapid person. These vanity projects are his way of building his legacy and jerking off his ego. The reflecting pool fiasco's been a pretty obvious failure and he absolutely cannot admit mistakes were made, so instead (like GoCubs pointed out) he's blaming some nebulous saboteurs to save face.
The point I was trying to make is in any sane administration the reflecting pool at most would've been a blip in the news cycle. The only reason it's not is because the orange fuck made it a huge deal.

A US heavy metal band has been investigated by the Secret Service after they pretended to execute Donald Trump on stage.
The band GWAR have become known for pulling similar stunts against various public and political figures as part of their act, but when footage of their mock execution of the current US president began to circulate, things took a rather serious turn.
GWAR’s singer, Mike Bishop, otherwise known as his stage alias of Blöthar the Berserker, recently gave an interview with Rockin’ with Jam Man in which he opened up about the ordeal, which began after the band performed the stunt in Washington on their Warped tour.
“We killed President Obama. We didn’t hear from the Secret Service. But you kill Trump, and you better believe that there’s gonna be some shit going on,” Bishop said, alluding to the investigation.
