O Canada

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Why does anyone care whatever Prince Harry does?
First answer - applies to most: Celebrity entertainment. Few people really care what celebrities do. It's just idle entertainment, like a TV show except somewhat live.

Second answer - applies to me and others with British ties: The royals have always been discussion/conversation topics, often derisive, and everybody loves a royal scandal. Modern kings don't really rule much, but they're an important (and generally supported) part of the culture and history.
I admit the "Royals" intrigue me. Fergie was the most fun because she is a free spirit.

Yeah also as to Harry, he is one of Diana's sons, a living link, and everybody loved Diana.

I think the stark differences between Harry and his brother also stoke the interest in Harry. If I had a choice of whether to spend a weekend with Harry or with his brother, I'd go with Harry.

Yeah, me too. Being "the spare" does have some advantages in how you can run your life.

It's understandable that Harry might have wanted to distance himself from the world of working royalty. He wasn't really ever going to be King, his mum was basically killed by paparazzi, and he had Meghan, who was never going to be completely accepted. If he had just resigned from his official duties, moved to California and enjoyed the life at least somewhat out of the constant spotlight, probably all would have been well. But writing a book waving the family's dirty laundry and making potentially embarrassing claims didn't help anything but his bank account. Then it seemed he wanted both sides - keep the privileges, dump the responsibilities. That didn't help. And apparently there's a Meghan problem, who found out she was no Diana.
