Yeah well that's part of the problem - treating him like entertainment or entertainer instead of like the totally unacceptable "leader" he is. President Trump complained at length tonight that he hasn't been given the Nobel Peace Prize for having "settled eight wars," then recited a list of supposed wars settled that includes...
- "Egypt and Ethiopia" (who had a diplomatic dispute, not a war)
- "Kosovo and Serbia" (who also weren't at war under Trump)
- "The Democrat(ic) Republic of the Congo and Rwanda" (the war in the eastern DRC never ended despite a peace deal brokered by his administration that didn't include the rebel coalition doing the fighting)
- "Israel and Iran" last year (Israel went back to war with Iran this year along with the Trump-led US)
- "Israel and Hamas" (Israel continues to conduct frequent attacks in Gaza despite a ceasefire)

Trump also claimed he's "about to settle or win" the war with Iran, the one he started, and also "Russia-Ukraine," though he'd repeatedly promised to end that one within 24 hours of taking office in 2025.

Regarding the Nobel Peace Prize: The prize winners don't perform their feats with the end goal of winning the prize; instead, the act of furthering peace is the goal. Winning the prize is simply a secondary effect to the acts themselves.

With Trump, his "acts" are hollow. He doesn't care about furthering peace. He just wants the prize.

A similar mindset can be found in some children wherein posessing a trophy is the goal and not the accomplishment of the feat itself that leads to the trophy.
