There's nothing wrong with student loans or financial aid it just gets old hearing how EVERYONE ELSE should pay someone else's way. Then sit on a corner complaining they don't have enough.
I will never forget the first loan I ever got when I 19 years old. I sweated not to make every payment but to pay it off years early. That was back in the day of 15% loans. LOL

There is indeed nothing wrong with any kind of financial aid for college, but very little of it would exist without us forward thinking "liberals". It's considered a "hand out" to many conservatives.

Education is an investment in society and the economy, that's why many of us would like to follow the model of other countries. College education should be handled just like grade school.

Do ya think Mitt's kids all 6 or however many he has should have their college paid for with Tax money? So with his money 6 kids off to Harvard or some other school his family could cost the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Sorry work, get an education and move on on your own. I know a few kids who went to local colleges for two years did extremely well then went on to 4 yr schools with scholarships and private grants. It's doable.

I don't know why you were banned, I don't know why anyone was banned. The whole thing is stupid I never saw any reason why anyone should have been banned. A forum is supposed to be a place where people can express their opinions and others can simply agree or disagree. If you don't like it stay way. Nothing on the BRN forum ever bothers me, it is a bunch of people talking just as you would around a nice cold beer. My wife and I disagree on many things but we still love each other. I don't know any of the people on this forum but I'll bet we would get along just fine. I have plenty of liberal friends and we bicker over the issues, sometimes heated, but at the end of the day we're still friends.
