I work at a historic plantation, where I give presentations on African-American history and #slavery. These are some real things tourists have said back to me.

I wonder if they tell them about the 3,500 black slaveholders in the South who owned 13,000 black slaves?
I wonder if they are told about Anthony Johnson or William Ellison or even Antoine Dubuclet?

My guess is if the plantation wasn't owned by a black family they probably don't.

When my kids were young we were king of the long weekend trips due to running my business and I stopped taking them to these so called historical places because 90% were pure 100% BS. Even had a dumb ass once state their was no record of anyone owning blacks but bad bad whites. I questioner the twit and she called me a racist. I started a little conversation and she tied to have me removed. I wrote letters for a year with facts until she was fired, and yes I was proud. It was a small farming area in south central Pa. Most of these places are clueless, just go to Gettysburg and they tell all that the entire Civil War was fought over slavery.

Slavery is/was fucked up no matter what. No doubt I'm sure some slave owners were more benevolent than others, and some were downright sadistic (Haiti, but still...), but still man, owning another person, even up until the mid 1800's? Not cool.

Yeah you're right though, some free blacks did own slaves as did some American Indians. I feel no guilt over slavery. I didn't own any slaves nor did my ancestors as far as I know. And even if they did I'd still feel no guilt or shame in myself. Why should I? Hell man my family fought for the Union (yeah yeah yeah I know the union had slaves too). I still condemn it though and still think it's messed up. And I still think anyone who makes excuses for slavery and slaveholders should be shamed like that guy/lady is doing in that twitter account.

The Southern State's secession documents specifically cite slavery as the state's right they wanted to maintain. I grew up all the way at the bottom of the state. Real rural area. Probably like 60/40 white/black. Anyway my general experience, or rather what I've observed, is that people seem way more racist up there. People seem more easy going here in SC. Although, I don't think it's so much the people, but rather the people I've become friends with here maybe.. I usually go by the BS people post on Facebook all the time there and compare what's posted by my Northern acquaintances vs. my Southern friends. But in general, it seems like the people I hang with or even just talk to down here are less likely to make racist complaints. I remember talking to a black lady that moved down here from somewhere in Ocean County, she said something similar - that she liked it here better because people were more welcoming.

It's probably one of those things where if you were around more diversity growing up then you're probably less likely to be racist. Someone I know used to live in the Pacific North West and said he found it hilarious how people there were inadvertently racist in that they'd go out of there way to treat black people differently than everyone else thinking they were being progressive or something, rather than just treating them the same as any other person.

I totally agree it's just not right, I also feel no guilt as my earliest family didn't arrive on the shores of America until 1853 and fought for the Union Army (Mohawk Ranger) and didn't own any slaves.

Jews

Unlike many White naitonalists, I am of the opinion that the majority of American and European jews are White. In my opinion the issues with jews is not their blood, but their identity. I think that if we could somehow destroy the jewish identity, then they wouldnt cause much of a problem. The problem is that Jews look White, and in many cases are White, yet they see themselves as minorities. Just like niggers, most jews are always thinking about the fact that they are jewish. The other issue is that they network. If we could somehow turn every jew blue for 24 hours, I think there would be a mass awakening, because people would be able to see plainly what is going on.

I dont pretend to understand why jews do what they do. They are enigma.



Hispanics

Hispanics are obviously a huge problem for Americans. But there are good hispanics and bad hispanics. I remember while watching hispanic television stations, the shows and even the commercials were more White than our own. They have respect for White beauty, and a good portion of hispanics are White. It is a well known fact that White hispanics make up the elite of most hispanics countries. There is good White blood worht saving in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and even Brasil.

But they are still our enemies.
