I keep wondering what John McCain would make of all this bullshit. I bet I know, though.

Meet Pennsylvania’s anger translator, and Donald Trump’s worst nightmare

Image

When Donald Trump set his sights on overturning the results of the election in Pennsylvania, there were a few things working against him. First, the margin of Joe Biden’s victory put it beyond the need for a recount. Second, Pennsylvania is the birthplace of American democracy, and they take this stuff very seriously. Third, John Fetterman.

Fetterman, the burly lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania, has been a constant thorn in the side of the Trump campaign’s efforts to undermine the election in his state. In doing so, he has emerged from the chaos of campaign season with a new legion of fans.

He was a familiar presence on television throughout the state’s arduous and pivotal ballot count, often on hand to swat away Trump campaign attacks against the integrity of the counting process. At 6ft 8in tall, tattoos on his arms, a long goatee and often in short sleeves, he stood out amid the parade of suits. He once said of his appearance: “I do not look like a typical politician. I do not even look like a typical person.” ...

“Everybody, including and especially the president, knows how this movie is gonna end. They are just these little Twitter storm freakouts. It's just sad and pathetic that the president of the United States has become just some sad internet troll.”

... “I've said this time and time again, the media needs to turn its back on the president's reckless claims of voter fraud. He is and has been for some time now yelling ‘fire’ in a crowded theatre. This is not free or protected speech. This is dangerous and damaging speech. And it really just comes down to that." ...

“This was a campaign of misinformation from the biggest microphone in the world,” says Fetterman. “And it was [my job] to push back against that. This idea that there was any fraud, well actually, no, there were exactly three cases of documented fraud in Pennsylvania.”

“We pulled up the biggest election in Pennsylvania history, and there wasn't any of that, none of that, and this idea that it was anything other than a fair, free and full accounting of the democratic will of Pennsylvania voters has been widely debunked in every courtroom at every juncture,” he adds.

Fetterman has used his Twitter feed to refute some of the wilder claims of voting fraud from the president. “The President just tweeted this article and said “DEAD PEOPLE VOTED” and in Pennsylvania he’s RIGHT. In Luzerne County, a Republican attempted to vote for the President for his dead mother,” he wrote in response to one of Trump’s tweets.

He also tried to claim a reward from his Republican counterpart in Texas, lieutenant governor Dan Patrick, who offered a $1million for reports of voter fraud that lead to a conviction. Sharing the same two examples above, he asked for his reward to be paid in gift cards for Sheetz — a Pennsylvania convenience store.
"ps. The Cowboys blow."
Fetterman, a self-described democratic socialist, began his political career in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh. He won his first election by one vote to become the mayor of Braddock, a gritty former steel town, and won two more times after that.

In Braddock, Fetterman championed a community-led approach to tackling crime and poverty, both of which blighted the town. He took the job seriously — very seriously. On his right arm he has tattooed the dates of murders that took place in Braddock while he was mayor. He currently has nine dates and is due to add one more. On his left arm he has the town’s zip code.

He made an unsuccessful run for the US senate in 2016, before eventually winning election as lieutenant governor in 2018. During that campaign, he was endorsed by Bernie Sanders, who called Fetterman the "candidate of the working people". After he won, he refused to take up the residence his position afforded him, and chose to live in a converted car dealership....

He is also not quite ready to take his eye off Trump just yet. He believes the outgoing president will run in 2024 without much opposition from Republicans.

“We need to be mindful,” he says. But, he adds, “you can only run on chaos for so long before it collapses on itself."
 I won't expect him to reach higher office. Forget the Repugs and moderates, establishment Dems won't allow it.
Sheetz, Inc. is an American chain of convenience stores and coffee shops owned by the Sheetz family. The stores sell a mix of custom food, beverages and convenience store items. Nearly all of them sell gasoline. Its headquarters are in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Stores are located in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, and North Carolina....

I sure would enjoy seeing Fetterman beat the shit out of trump and Jared and also spurn sexual advances from Ivanka. I bet he could get one hand around her neck.

But then it goes to Norm, a 70 year old fox watcher who says he wants to get to the bottom of all this Dominion Soros mess

"Shinkle’s willingness to consider widely discredited voting fraud claims — along with his wife’s role as a witness in one of Trump’s lawsuits — has drawn scrutiny to an obscure panel that typically rubber stamps election results. Though its members are partisans appointed by the governor, the board — composed of two Democrats and two Republicans — has always voted unanimously to certify statewide elections."

If I ever in my life have occasion to see trump in person I will not hesitate to fix a big smile on my face and get in line to shake his hand but instead I will backhand slap the orange off one side of his face and consider it one of the more memorable moments of my life. The assault charge I will wear as a badge of honor. I'm left handed, so this will work good. It'll be the left side of his face.

Remember back when we thought that Nov 3 was going to be the end of the election? Ah, we were so young and naive then.

Trump's legal team seemingly didn't notice its allegation of election fraud in Michigan is based on data from Minnesota

Idiots. These articles should list the lawyers' names so that future potential clients can easily google how incompetent and un-American they are.

I always post from my phone. Why do you ask? Is it the spelling errors of simple things like "of" I do all the time haha 😀

billy pilgrim uses his phone to post here.....I think he mentioned that sometime in the past. I remember it because he said he has a fouled up finger and sometimes makes an error.

I do "if" a lot instead of "of".

Neo, although I do have a disconnected flexor tendon below the tip of my left bird finger, it does not bother my typing, but my big ol fat fingers, from years of good hard physical labor, do cause typos.
The worst are caused by accidently dragging a finger and not looking at spell check's interpretation.

My fingers are in fine shape but my brain and eyes may be whacked out from years of poring over drawings and schematic diagrams and specifications. My fingers have thankfully survived, though, from prior years of working construction jobs, working at the local wastewater treatment plant, and soldering of capacitor and resistor leads to circuit boards and 12 gauge wire to speaker terminals. I do now and then get cramps in them and in the past few years have trouble with my signature....sort of like knowing what I want to write but there is a sort of hesitation that was never there before. And I'll be another year older next month. I can hardly wait.

With nearly all votes counted, the 2020 presidential election wasn't that close

... Right now, Joe Biden’s popular-vote lead over Trump stands at 4 percentage points, 51 percent to 47 percent — and it’s only going to grow once more of New York’s votes (finally) get counted.

That would give Biden the second-largest popular vote margin out of the 21st century’s six presidential elections, with only Barack Obama’s 7-point win in 2008 being greater.

When it comes to the Electoral College, the tally stands at Biden 306, Trump 232 – which happens to be the exact same split as Trump’s 2016 win versus Hillary Clinton (but in reverse). And Trump referred to that as a “massive landslide victory.”

Biden’s ahead by 154,000 votes in Michigan (greater than Trump’s 10,000-vote winning margin there in 2016).

He’s ahead by 81,000 votes in Pennsylvania (nearly twice Trump’s 44,000-vote win there four years ago).

And he’s ahead by more than 20,000 votes in Wisconsin (almost the same as Trump’s 23,000-vote victory there in 2016).

On top of those leads, Biden also narrowly flipped the traditionally GOP-leanings states of Arizona and Georgia....

Idk a lot of the names. I'll guess the team will be more moderate than I would like, but there are some progressives being considered.

Some Senators like Indy Bernie! (VT) and Dem Duckworth (IL) are in the mix. Fine, IF it's certain that they will be replaced by Dems. That could be why Dem Liz! (MA) isn't mentioned. Or, could be that she's too effective in the Senate to lose her voice there. Okay by me, but Wall St terror over Secretary of the Treasury Liz! would have been a wonderful thing to behold.

Oh no but I thought Trump was going to win a second term once he had proven the election was rigged? Who's gonna break the news to his supporters?

Doesn't matter. They'd just deny it.

They'll still be denying it on Jan 20 as Biden is being sworn in.
