There really is something to be said about blaming Tru*p for everything wrong in life. There are so many ripple effects that he - directly or indirectly - has touched almost all aspects of life. And we know everything he touches dies. Consider not just what he orders or directs, but the effect of appointing incompetent saboteurs to essentially all federal departments, including defence, justice, and state. Consider the long-term effects of a public loss of confidence in the courts, in elections, in the ability/intent of the government to work on behalf of its citizens and to do so with minimal corruption. Consider all the day to day events that make life harder on everyone - prices up, opportunities lost, environment and health endangered, increased division and social conflict and reduced national cohesion. Sure, the next president will re-purpose the ballroom and take his name and tacky gold filigree off everything, but people's confidence in Superman's version of "the American Way" with "truth and justice" isn't coming back instantly, and probably never. I've said "it's good to be old" and I mean it, but I can also say that if I had been 30-something in 2016, I'd now be in my 10th year of residency in Canada, England, or maybe Portugal, but I sure wouldn't be here watching the constant crumbling of America.

Internal documents exclusively obtained by USA Today revealed Wednesday that Patriot Front, a white nationalist hate group formed in 2017 following the deadly "Unite the Right" rally in Virginia, has more than 540 members across every state except Hawaii as of early 2026.
An analysis of the Texas-based group's 72-page roster of members and other documents also revealed Patriot Front has attracted more than half of its constituents within the past two years and maintains close ties to dozens of Active Clubs, a decentralized network of white supremacists who pair mixed martial arts with propaganda in fight clubs across America....
