His hypothesis of some gay Chicago murder scheme is so stupid that even the dumbest of the local cons don't buy it. Only one person is stupid enough to believe it -- Turdwhistle. Proved it's possible? Without showing any evidentiary support? Sure, it's possible. It's possibly that Stevens was killed because he knew JFK and Elvis were hiding out in Benghazi. It's possible that there really is a gaggle of bigfoots having a kegger in my backyard.

What it's not is likely, credible, believable, rational, logical, or true. It didn't happen.

It does give us insight into the nobody's-a-Turdwhistle "thinking" process -- if it's "possible," and you really, really, really, really, really want it to be true, then ... voilá ... it's magically true. No proof wanted. No proof needed.
