I never quite thought about it this way, but I suppose for every player there's a law of diminishing returns - the pay goes down while the chances of serious injury stays the same or increases. Of course, he may brady his "retirement", but I doubt it.

A friend of mine, local born in Hendersonville had a New Year's day get together every year and that was a staple. I never fully embraced that particular tradition. I've got my chili thawing.
