Everyone has an agenda; some just want others to bow to theirs; that's why petitions and websites such as this one exist.O Really wrote:I guess I'm just a "fringe" sort of guy. I always thought I was pretty mainstream - professional job, nice family man, community work, yada. Little did I know I'm a fringe lunatic. Because I support every one of those statements.
Your job, marital status, what you do in the community, has nothing to do with a liberal attitude.
Prisons and mental institutions house many with your qualities. Mine too, AFATG.

And all those people engaging in ummmm, "religious freedom" against those of a different religion were all Muslims, right? Or maybe Atheists? The article doesn't seem to say.
On the other hand, I can see that a guy who rogers his host's 16-year old might attract a crowd with torches and pitchforks, along with the tar and feathers.

What is it about meme creators that makes them poor spellers? Anyway, it's a nice sentiment, but lack of bigotry in one area doesn't necessarily mean one is not a bigot elsewhere. For example, I'm still bigoted against rednecks, even though I don't care what color they are.Seth Milner wrote:I just wanted to express my bigotry:

Not that I'm a follower of the pope, but the top picture is a prime example of the mentality of today's dope smoking youth. You think Trump and Hillariously are bad POTUS choices, wait until those brain-dead f*uckups grow up. If they ever do.

Re: The Religion Thread
"Indulged, petted, and uncontrolled at home, allowed to trample upon all laws, human and divine, at school, the student comes to college often with an undisciplined mind and an uncultivated heart, yet with exalted ideas of personal dignity and scowling contempt for local authority and wholesome restraint.
- A professor of Davidson College in 1855
"Large numbers of these youngsters belong to organized gangs of thieves and cut-throats, and are in the regular employ of old criminals who teach them the tricks of the trade. Many such have no homes. Some cannot even return to the gang’s headquarters, unless the day’s profit amounts to a stipulated sum. From these thousands of young desperadoes, the chief mass of hardened criminals is recruited. Half the number of persons actually convicted of crimes are youths who have not reached the age of discretion."
- 1831, as quoted in The Atlantic Monthly of December 1926
"We are living in a decadent and dying age. Youth is corrupt, lacking in respect for elders, impatient of restraint. Age-old truth is doubted and the teaching of the fathers is questioned. The signs of the time forecast the destruction of the world at an early date."
- Egyptian tomb, 10BC
"Our earth is degenerate in these latter days. There are signs that the world is speedily coming to an end. Bribery and corruption are common. Children no longer obey their parents. Every man wants to write a book, and the end of the world is evidently approaching."
- Tablet from 4800 years ago (2800 B. C.) now in the Municipal Museum at Istanbul.
I wonder how far back do we have to go to find a generation of youth that lives up to homerfobe's standards.
