Sure, maybe somebody would try to mess the pool by tossing in algae, but it's not fresh water going in there in the first place. Even if there was algae in the pipes (almost guaranteed) and it had been cleaned, they're pumping in river water into a shallow pool into a perfect algae environment. If anybody did want to dump some in, they'd probably have to dump it on top of the stuff growing there already.
