Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

That's kind of funny - Trump chooses Sarah Palin as an insurance policy against impeachment and assassination.

On the other hand the people backing Cruz are scarier since they're flat-out theocrats. The dislike of Cruz by those around him in the GOP is no secret. Trump is the only thing between him, the nomination and control of the party.

It may be that mainstream Republicans aren't so much pro-Trump as anti-Cruz, preferring a defeat in the election to Cruz taking control. It's like a fox caught in a leg-hold trap, gnawing its own leg off to escape.

Vs. a semi-fascist, billionaire, cult of personality "strong man". That pretty much covers the GOP base.

Christie for Secretary of State - a Trumpish FU to the world.
Palin for Secretary of Interior - a Trumpish FU to the US.

I'm glad we cleared that up.

Jindal may have been the biggest idiot of all. From the sandpiles he built to stop the Gulf of Mexico to bankrupting his state after starting witha surplus, he is a world class idiot.

I don't know about that. Weird turn of events with Christy backing Trump and standing by his side with a "wtf did I get my ass into" look on his face. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm thinking if Trump gets the nomination, Christy will be his choice for VP running mate.

I don't see Christie or Palin liking the obscurity of VP, though Christie might take it if he thinks his political career is otherwise done. Otoh, Trump is old - throw of the dice.

Plus, I don't know that NY Trump gains much from NJ Christie being on the ballot, and Trump may benefit more from a less volatile partner than he and Christie are. Swing states Kasich (OH), Jeb and Rubio (FL) might make more sense, or even picking swing state con Dem Webb (VA) to really shake things up. If the latter, you heard it here first.

Interesting.

Jul 2008 - After much speculation, Webb declares "under no circumstances will I be a candidate for Vice President."

Nov 2014 - Webb announced the formation of an exploratory committee in preparation for a possible bid for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination. He criticises the Affordable Care Act despite having voted for it, the Democratic Party for neglecting the "white, working-class" vote in favor of pandering to minorities

Jul 2015 - Webb formally announces his Democratic presidential campaign.

Oct 2015 - Webb announces that he's dropping out of the race in favor of a possible independent presidential run, stating that he was "not comfortable" and "unhappy" with many of the party's political positions

Feb 2016 - Webb rules out making an independent presidential bid.

Mar 4, 2016 - Webb stated that he would not vote for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Presidential Election, but he declined to rule out voting for Donald Trump.

He's no Republican either. He's supported LGBT and women's rights. (By 2020 this will probably be a dead issue.) He's written ten books and won an Emmy for his work as a journalist, so he's a member of the commie Marxist socialist media elite.

That's what made me think of him, assuming he has a purpose beyond being snarky to Hillary.

The only thing that makes this clown show a little uncomfortable for me is wondering how many Germans thought Hitler was as much of a joke as we think Trump is.

I think Trump just accidently went too far in his massive prank. There's no way this is real haha.

1) Muslims banned from entering the US
2) Wiretapping of all mosques
3) Nazi-esque salutes and pledges of obedience
4) Quoing Mussolini
5) Cult of Personality

Whaaattttt!? I'm legitimately concerned.
