Funny - and jokes are jokes, but semi-seriously, doesn't it make sense that anybody who is going to be making law ought to be required to take at least a basic survey course covering major law topics - contracts, torts, criminal, property, etc.?

I must admit I voted for Lindsay Graham a few years ago. Thought he was one of the few (comparatively) sane rethuglikkkans in congress. That was before Obama, and most assuredly before donald frederickovich used kompromat from Putietang to turn Lindsay into a caricature of an organ grinder's monkey. But, the shame still burns.

Well, it's certainly one of those open secrets. Beyond that, it's kinda like how baptists pretend not to know each other in the liquor store; don't make eye contact, don't talk about it later, make like it never happened. Once you acknowledge it, it becomes that uncomfortable truth soup that just sits there in the middle of the table, making you look around it if you want to talk to other people.
The talibaptists don't like that.

I'm inspired by Bernie and Warren, but they're just so old.

Harris, Buttigieg and de Blasio might be inspiring, we'll see.

Castro might be inspiring, but when the only Latino polls at 1% he ain't even inspiring his natural niche.

2020 election poll: Joe Biden's lead shrinks to zero against Bernie Sanders in critical Iowa

Joe Biden may be leading national polls among Democratic voters, but a new poll shows his dominance doesn’t necessarily extend to Iowa.

Mr Biden is matched by Bernie Sanders in the state, a sharp drop from his 11 point lead in a separate poll last month. Both candidates can claim 24 per cent support in the state, which will vote first in the nominating process next year.

Mr Biden and Mr Sanders are followed in the new poll by several candidates with significant showings, including Pete Buttigieg (14 per cent), Elizabeth Warren (12 per cent), and Kamala Harris (10 per cent).

Reading into the polls just a bit more, Mr Biden has more to worry about than just Mr Sanders, too.

Ms Warren stands out as the most liked candidate in the race, with a favourability rating at 78 per cent — the top in the race. She is followed by Mr Sanders, who is the next closest with 71 per cent....

She continued: “In some states, we see a large spread between the front-runners and the so-called second-tier in the excitement barometer, but in Iowa the candidates are all pretty tightly clustered. When we ask respondents to identify the five candidates they’re most excited about, 54% say Warren, followed by Biden (53%), then Harris (53%), Sanders (49%), and Buttigieg (46%)

The terrain looks much better for Mr Biden when looking at the other states that follow close after Iowa, however. In New Hampshire, Mr Biden beats Mr Sanders 36 per cent to 18 per cent. In South Carolina, meanwhile, Mr Biden recently got 46 per cent support compared to Mr Sanders’ 15 per cent....

I would guess that the survivors among Sanders, Buttigieg, Harris and Warren will benefit from dropouts more than Biden. Not sure if Harris drops out - her liberals would lean toward Sanders, Buttigieg or Warren, but Blacks may favor Biden.

In addition to “a small white and brown pipe approximately 3-4 inches long,” an officer also found “a small ziplock bag with a white powdery substance inside all sitting on the passenger seat.”

Fingerprints were not found on the pipe, which officials determined was used to smoke cocaine.
Prescott Police Department officials were unable to reach Hunter Biden and, after an investigation, declined to prosecute. One could make the case that it is a rental car and it was left by another occupant but this is not a one time incident with Hunter Biden, The Washington Examiner reported. The 76-year-old former vice president’s daughter Ashley, now 37, was arrested for marijuana possession at age 17. Records show the prosecutor declined to pursue the charges. A decade later, a “friend” of Ashley Biden attempted to sell the New York Post a 43-minute hidden-camera video purportedly showing Ashley snorting cocaine. The police did not get involved.
Biden’s son Hunter, now 49, joined the Navy Reserves in 2012 after receiving two special waivers, one because he was three years over the age limit of 40 and another for a “drug-related incident when he was a young man.” A month into his service, he tested positive for cocaine during a random drug test and was discharged. In 2017 divorce papers, Hunter Biden’s then-wife Kathleen stated he spent “extravagantly on his own interests (including drugs, alcohol, prostitutes, strip clubs, and gifts for women with whom he has sexual relations).” The same year, it emerged that Hunter Biden was in a relationship with his late brother Beau’s widow, Hallie. The official position of the Democrat party, and every other Democrat presidential candidate, is that Hyde should be repealed. They argue the ban prevents the poorest women gaining access to abortions.

Mr Biden has set out a clear strategy of trying to occupy the centre ground in 2020, distancing himself from all of the other two dozen Democrat presidential candidates....

Hmmm, obviously I think the government should fund abortion like it does all other healthcare. However, after all of these year of it not doing so, I'm not sure the Democrats should make this their Waterloo. There's plenty to do just defending the legality of and unfunded access to abortion.

Maybe I'm just being a middle class guy, but this doesn't make me not favor Biden any more than I already did.

The former vice president led Mr Trump 48-44 in a a Quinnipiac University poll of voters in Texas, where victory in 2020 would virtually guarantee him the White House.

Other polls gave Mr Biden 12-point leads over Mr Trump in the key "rust belt" state of Michigan, and the swing state of North Carolina.

He also had a four-point lead in the usually Republican border state of Arizona....

His position is one that could help Mr Biden to win Texas, usually the biggest Republican-voting state. Mr Trump won it by nine points in 2016, but that was the smallest margin of victory for a Republican since 1996.

The Quinnipiac poll showed Mr Biden leading 55 per cent to Mr Trump's 33 per cent among Texas voters classifying themselves as "independent"....

If Texas is a true battleground, POSPOTUS loses whichever way Texas ends up going.
