Too bad. Another likely failed attempt at Reconstruction.
Oh, were you a big fan of Reconstruction?
neoplacebo wasn't alive, duh.
I am a fan, except that it didn't go far enough nor last long enough. Southern Blacks got abandoned by the North after just a few years. Some of that betrayal came from Connecticut.
I'm sure that a racist like you hates the memory of Reconstruction.

I liked the parts about how the Freedmens Bureau built schools and established organizations to help the recently freed slaves. I also liked the part about how it was supposed to prohibit any former confederate leaders from becoming involved in any of the new state governments. And the angst felt among many southerners over the presence of all the "carpetbaggers" coming down from the north was not bad, either. Reconstruction was working pretty good until Andrew Johnson helped southern Democrats stomp it out. I'm not a fan of gibberish or gibberishism.
I would have like it more if they had shot or locked away those who initiated and led the traitorous rebellion and immediately prohibited honours or recognition concerning the confederacy or those who participated. F'rinstance "After World War Two, the penal code of the Federal Republic of Germany was amended to prohibit propaganda material and symbols of forbidden parties and other organisations (StGB 86 and 86a). This explicitly includes material in the tradition of a former national socialist organization. The production and distribution of such material is prohibited, as is the public display of the related symbols. Legal consequences can be a fine or a prison term of up to three years.
Examples are Nazi symbols, such as the swastika and the SS logo. It is legal to use the symbols for educational and artistic purposes."
SC conservative group decries medical marijuana bill (that won't pass anyway)
"Sen. Greg Hembree, R-Horry, like many law enforcement officials before him, expressed concerns that medical marijuana could be a gateway to other, more serious drugs. “As a prosecutor, I saw first-hand over over again, the heartbreak, the violence that the devastation the drugs cause (to) family,” Hembree said. “In almost every case, nearly every case that child, that brother, that sister, that mother started with marijuana, nearly every case. And to say it’s not a gateway drug is foolish.”

Well, while I don't smoke it any more, I cannot agree that pot is a gateway drug. Hembree is a moron.
And I suspect anyone who wants weed in SC can easily obtain it anyway. The effing stuff grows for free, after all. People like Hembree are just out to oppress. I believe small amounts of pot have been legal in Cali for some time now. As well as medical.

Somebody should tell this guy that correlation does not equal causation. Not that he'd have any idea what that meant anyway. Idiot. I wonder if he found out how many people of those life-threatening drug cases he had ever took an aspirin? Or ate barbeque. Probably "nearly every case" I'd say. OMG! Barbeque is a gateway drug!

They probably started with that hippity hop music and that rock and roll which led them down the path towards Satan and drugs and murder.
Marsha Blackburn has glommed onto this and she wants a personal assurance from Biden that he is not buying millions of dollars worth of crack pipes. If I were Biden, I'd tell her to her face that "no. there's no plan for crack pipes just like we had no plan for having to deal with crack pots like you." Next.

What will they American Right Wing come up with next?

Sens. Joe Manchin and Marco Rubio introduced a bipartisan bill on Friday that would block federal funds from being used to buy and distribute tools used to take drugs, like crack pipes and syringes.
The Preventing Illicit Paraphernalia for Exchange Systems Act, or PIPES Act, was announced by Manchin, a Democrat from West Virginia, and Rubio, a Republican from Florida, in a press release....
A pair of Republican lawmakers authored new legislation to ban federal taxpayer dollars from funding crack pipes, needles and other drug paraphernalia, following a firestorm over a viral report that alleged the Biden administration would be funding crack pipes for addicts.
Reps. Lauren Boebert of Colorado and Dan Bishop of North Carolina said in an exclusive joint interview with Fox News Digital that the Biden administration got caught "red-handed" trying to fund crack pipes as part of a $30 million grant program and that legislation is needed to stop the "ridiculous" proposal. The White House has denied the grant would fund crack pipes....
They've introduced the Halting the Use of Narcotics Through Effective Recovery Act this week, dubbing the bill the HUNTER Act, in reference to President Biden's son, Hunter Biden, who has openly struggled with drug addiction.
"I like the HUNTER Act," Boebert said in an interview, "because it was a better acronym than Stop Paying to Subsidize Biden's Son’s Drug Addiction act. That didn't really flow. I think tax dollars have been on the hook for Hunter’s addictions long enough."
Bishop also took aim at more progressive drug policies such as safe injection sites, needle trade-ins, and safe smoking kits. He said such programs try to "remove all stigma" from drug use, when "actually stigma is not a bad thing."
"The HUNTER Act is a means of encapsulating how ridiculous public policy can become when it's in the hands of the woke," Bishop said....
People will die due to this scheme to ban the funding of tools that make drug use safer. The drug war is too profitable for special interests like LEOs to ever implement proven Harm Reduction strategies.
The Netherlands has had programs like this for decades. They work. That's why GOP wingnuts hate them. I think their program actually provides the drugs as well. Not sure. Speaking of "nether lands," it's the place I occasionally spend quality time and contemplate big things.
