FWIW, there's probably movements like that in rural areas all over the place in states with large blue cities. I seem to recall Solar talking about the Sierras trying to flee California to Nevada years ago.

Momentum is building in Illinois to form a new state, with more counties ready to vote on leaving because of Chicago's influence.
