I'm thinking you and your friends (and me too) aren't exactly in the demographic targeted by "Rolling Stone" magazine. I'm thinking further that those who do read the magazine aren't offended by the term "bullshit." As long as he doesn't try to do a duet with 50 Cent to try to corner the gangsta rap fans, I'm OK with demo-based marketing.

I understand what he was trying to do. However, I can't believe he thought word would not get out beyond the target audience.

Yea but Bush was President (sadly) when he said..
"There's Adam Clymer, major-league asshole from the New York Times."
And he was president when he flipped the bird on national TV.
I think that's a lot tackier and lower class than simply calling Rmoney what he is.
Damn. It was Bush's fault Obama called Romney a b--ls------.
when will I ever learn that goozer's thread titles are generally some bullship he twisted around. he thinks (and we often fall for it) that we will debate his spin without checking the truth of the title.
I finally looked, obama did not call romney a bullshiter in the rolling stone interview
show it to me tag-along

You're right. It was not during an interview, and the president never mentioned the bullshitter's name . . . just like he never mentioned the pig's name when he put lipstick on it.

Romney - a bullshitter. "Liar" wouldn't have gotten as much play. He even got Reality to repeat it, and Supsalemgr every time he posts to Reality's thread.
Works for me.
As part of his base I am sure it works for Vrede. I bet it didn't play well with a lot of others.

I used to be in the Rolling Stone demographic back when it was a bifold newsprint music / hippie type publication with the good and capable doctor of journalism Hunter Thompson manning the "national affairs" desk for the political aspect, which back then was secondary to the music aspect. Ah, youth......

Bush's incident was when he was still governor of Texas not POTUS and he and the camera man were goofing. Darned I thought the libs here knew everything.
You're probably right, there, Defective Thong / Colon El Tickler. He probably wasn't POTUS. He probably was just the governor of Texas.
But he was the Republican nominee for president when he called the reporter an asshole.

This is not my thread.
sorry goozer, my mistake
the style fooled me

Yeah, it didn't play well with the unhinged Obama haters. Nobody else gives a shit.

They still have Matt Taibbi, the best economics writer around.
...I was reminded of this incident when our interview with the president ended. As we left the Oval Office, executive editor Eric Bates told Obama that he had asked his six-year-old if there was anything she wanted him to say to the president. After a thoughtful pause, she said, "Tell him: You can do it."
Obama grinned. "That's the only advice I need," he said. "I do very well, by the way, in that demographic. Ages six to 12? I'm a killer."
"Thought about lowering the voting age?" Bates joked.
"You know, kids have good instincts," Obama offered. "They look at the other guy and say, 'Well, that's a bullshitter, I can tell.'"...
Looks like he meant Mitten to me.
where?
I see where he perceives that young people would see rmoney as a bullshitter but not where obama calls his one

About the only people I can remember are Wenner, Tim Crouse, Hunter Thompson, and Eztherhas.....haven't seen RS in over 35 years.
Vrede wrote:Since Obama jokes about how he is doing in the "six to 12" "demographic" then immediately says "the other guy" - not 'some guy' - is "a bullshitter", that he means Mitten seems clear to me. Anyone else want to weigh in? I could be wrong.
Besides, what's got the cons so worked up is the use of the word (despite the fact that a con put it in the thread title and they're all repeating it). They're doing the best they can to divert from the fact that Mitten really is a bullshitter.
I know who he is referring to and I believe I know what he thinks about rmoney, but the truth is that he said that kids see rmony as a bullshitter
They look at the other guy and say, 'Well, that's a bullshitter,"
he doesn't say they look at the other guy and agree with me that he is a bullshitter
