Another pattern I've noticed that I take infinite enjoyment in, is watching Trump make a widely criticized move (taking the call from the president of Taiwan), or saying something completely stupid, then having his base jump in and support his decision and spout off all kinds of justifications, only to have Trump or one of his sycophants clean up the mess and indirectly retract what he said.

The call from Taiwan has already been cleared up by Pence, stating there is going to be no change in the US's policy towards China/Taiwan.

I've already seen a bunch of memes make their rounds in support of his decision, and a bunch of Trump's followers rationalize his move as a calculated play.

The Trumpsuckers used to claim that he'd start acting presidential if he actually ran. Then the claim was that he'd start acting presidential after the primaries. Then after the convention. Then after the election. I notice that NO-ONE at this point is making that claim for after the swearing-in ceremony.

The call from Taiwan has already been cleared up by Pence, stating there is going to be no change in the US's policy towards China/Taiwan.
