It's just to keep the big lie going when it starts running out of bullshit. I like how none of them can explain how it was only the presidential vote that is suspect on all those ballots...none of the other races (recorded on the same ballots) are questioned at all. And none of them think one second how ridiculous that is.billy.pilgrim wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 10:52 amI have yet to understand all these requests to audit in states they won.

Excellent point. Haven't seen that discussed before.neoplacebo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 5:46 pmIt's just to keep the big lie going when it starts running out of bullshit. I seriously would like to hear more from an effective AG and the media and make even the candidates and the DNC and the republican races that ran 10 or 15 points above the polls that showed them losing big. All happened with machines that were built to be accessed remotely, but the company had "said" they disabled the feature.Ulysses wrote: ↑Sun Nov 07, 2021 12:31 amExcellent point. Here's an interesting take on what the Dems should be doing.

Re: 2022 elections
The name Laurence Tribe is a bit familiar. My brother was attending law school at UC Berkeley back in the mid-70's and would wax prolifically about the Tribal wisdoms. I got the impression that Tribe was on the UCB faculty but just checked and there's not record of that. Go figure. Harvard. Anyway, I could ask my brother but then I'd have to answer a lot of questions about why I wanted to know.
In any case, Tribe seems like a good guy.

It seems like the R's are going under the assumption that just by playing up a House Republican majority, somehow it will just magically happen.

Congressional Job Approval
RCP Average 10/1 - 11/30 -46.4
2022 Generic Congressional Vote
RCP Average 11/1 - 11/30 Republicans +3.1
Then, add in historic Dem ineptness, and RepuQ gerrymandering and voter suppression. Ut-oh.
My 2 cents: The Dems should stop treating MadCaw, MTG, Boebert, Gosar, etc as wingnuts and start painting them as mainstream GOP.

As I said:
Kevin McCarthy defends Rep. Lauren Boebert after anti-Muslim remark, downplays House infighting
Ku Klux Klan caucus.

Trump gets wish in Georgia, sparks 'a political civil war' (within the GQP)
I'm cheering, but the risk is that the Trumpettes win the internal battles AND win the general elections.

Re: 2022 elections
I'm constantly baffled by the inability of Dems to show up in off year elections.
History has consistently shown that they really matter. Dems may trip over their own feet on a regular basis, but they're mostly honest and generally attempt to do the best thing for the people of the country.
A return to a complete do nothing obstructing Congress for the next two years when there's real shit going on inexcusable.

Obstructing Congress is old school, I think we'll see a whole new angle, a new bigger bolder Activist Attack Congress awaits.GoCubsGo wrote: ↑Thu Dec 23, 2021 6:36 pmI'm constantly baffled by the inability of Dems to show up in off year elections.

A con not keeping his word?
How shocking.
Hoping Wisconsin gets smart and the dems run a really strong candidate.

We can't take another six years of this clown.
Wisconsin Republican Sen. Ron Johnson will seek reelection

Re: 2022 elections
The RepuQ playbook is clear, even when they lose 4 to 1 in a district where RepuQs always lose 4 to 1:
Florida Republican who lost special election by 59 points refuses to concede, files suit
"election denialism"
