I heard Lucy was complicit and had ties to the voting machine manufacturer.
Also complicit were the Babalu Boys.

Yeah, not only that, but most people (except Madison) do not know that this entire sordid business has been decades in the making; it all started back in the late 1960's when Cesar Chavez first began constructing trick voting machines under cover of his farm laborer organizing activity. These first diabolical machines were initially sent to South America for a trial run and found such success that they were used extensively down there, especially by candidates named Chavez (you wouldn't believe how many folks down there are named "Chavez"). It has been said that Arnold Ziffle, the pet pig of Fred and Doris Ziffle, won the only election he ever entered due to these Chavez machines but it's not certain if this is true or just urban legend. In any case, Rudy stumbled onto this whole scheme while staying at a decrepit motor lodge on the Gulf of Texaco last June. And here we are. What a world........
Reps. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) and Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.) were each fined $5,000 on Friday for refusing to go through a metal detector before entering the House chamber.
A fine for another infraction could be as much as $10,000 each. The penalties will automatically be deducted from their salaries if they lose any appeals and refuse to pay.
Gohmert said in a statement Friday later that he’ll be “appealing the fine and taking whatever action is necessary, especially considering this policy is unconstitutional.” That may come as a surprise to Americans with less lofty positions who have been required to go through metal detectors for years....
If Gohmert, however, were a gun-carrying lawmaker, presumably an aide could provide him with a firearm after he left the chamber and he could explain later that he had simply been in the restroom....

When trump crowed that he "loves the poorly educated" it was the statement that prepared the cult to gush in awe. Since then the cult has become even more poorly educated and gushes in awe much much more. The amount of gushing is awesome. If this pattern persists, I foresee trouble.

I really do think that RepuQ's have become moe legit cultish in their ummm "loyalty." Dems are generally quite willing to trash their own when deserved, as evidenced by Gov Newsom's poor decision to go to a private gathering during a SIYFH order. Dems may be willing to overlook, or at least keep a transgressor in office, but won't usually say inherently stupid things in defence. What's wrong with saying "I like Cruz, and voted for him, but he really fucked up with this trip - what was he thinking?" Why must they blame the press, the Dems, social media, the Chinese? I've always been able to understand a person who might say "Trump is a narcissistic asshole, cruel, rude, and corrupt, but he's my guy because (whatever single-issue is). But I'll never understand anybody who would say Trump is a good president or a good person or a good leader, etc.
