Fire marshals (or somebody) limited attendance because of heat limitations. I gathered (though I might have misunderstood) that the A/C couldn't manage a full crowd with an outdoor temp of 108ish. Lots of people didn't get in, apparently.

Thanks, understandable. I suppose that makes "packed and entirely sold out" technically correct, but I wouldn't have used the phrase sans your caveat.

As an aside: They built an arena that can't handle a hot day? In Vegas??? If it was a commercial event how much would that sacrifice in ticket sales? Seems like a bad bet to me.

Yeah, I wondered about that too. And may have misunderstood what the guy said, but the one I saw wasn't a Harris campaign person - it was somebody from the venue, so I'm guessing it wasn't made up.
