What are you watching?

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Welp, Neo has an extension cord if needed.
Yeah, but I thought he'd probably need to use that to run from the neighbor's house to power all that vacuum tube equipment he's got.
 Well, there are twelve tubes total in my sound system, none of them less than fifty years old. One of the EL34 tubes in my amplifier was made in 1957 and is still working fine. Both the digital and analog signals go out via RCA cables with the option of XLR cables. No HDMI for me. Actually, I'm incorrect in stating that "...both the digital and analog signals..." because a compact disc player does not put out a digital signal. All those things have digital to analog converters that allow you to "hear" them. Ears are, and always will be, analog.

OK, wise guys. I've checked the equipment and have a plan.

I'll let you know how it works out.

I might even share the details if you behave yourselves.

Bet by the time you buy your " stuff", you could've paid for a smart tv with a lot less wires and hassle.

No.

Still but a fraction of the cost of a "smart TV" whatever that is.

I myself have turned my refrigerator into a smart refrigerator; it tells me when the beer is cold enough, how much beer there is, how much beer is required in order to have enough beer. The damn thing is magic. I would not trade it for a smart horse or a talking goat.

Yeah, but you gotta get a smart dog to go get you the beer.

If you don't know what a smart TV is how would you know what they cost?

Our coach has 4 TV's (yeah, I know  ), a 60" "main" TV, a 32" in the bedroom and above the windshield, and a 32" outside, that has its own DVD player/radio connected. Input can be from satellite, on-air, cable, DVD, ROKU, computer. There's a central network control box that can direct a particular input to each of the TV's, so you could watch ROKU on one, satellite on another, and a DVD on another. Output is to an 8-speaker surround sound system. Some of the set-up is wireless, but most is cabled. The back of the network control box looks a lot like the picture up there.

Geez, first world problems. How many yachts can you ski behind Mr. Gecko?

Have we ever seen pics?

If not, share some!

Let's see...

$25 for the Roku.

$15 for the gizmo to make it useful.

Any more questions?
