This morning I was outside having a smoke and suddenly heard a fluttering sound. It was a hummingbird. At first I thought it was going to stab me in the back of my neck, severing my brain stem, but soon realized it was just attracted to the red flowers my neighbor has. She doesn't smoke but I don't hold it against her. But I began to wonder if the bad word had gotten out from California about the deranged hummingbird killer and whether I would suffer any bad shit from that fiasco. But the bird just hovered about, never ever alighting once. Useless says his hummingbird alighted and died. I never saw one alight on anything and was spared it alighting on my person earlier today. Now watch him go all to hell.

I regret to inform you that we have now assembled an air force of solar-powered hummingbird clones that are now fanning out across the nation to distribute bad shit to those who say bad things about Californians.

And yes, they stab. They stab hard.

Be forewarned.

Speaking of "huge".....

This guy has got to be a bear whisperer or something. His channel is filled with visits from his friends.

They love turning convertibles into car hammocks.

He's on the porch with cat, mama and cubs?! Anyhow, someone built a strong porch railing.

Your daily new word, courtesy of lepidopterophiles, which is also a new word:

Butterfly-on-caterpillar "kleptopharmacophagy".
https://www.yahoo.com/news/milkweed-but ... 57160.html
:o “Butterflies have a whole repertoire of really gross and nasty behaviors."

There's also "pupal rape", a phenomenon in which male butterflies force their way into the chrysalises of female butterflies that have not finished metamorphosing and force them to mate. This is not to be confused with the not dissimilar "pupil rape" by lecherous middle school teachers.

And here you've always thought of butterflies as being "pretty", "delicate" and "gentle".

 Jim Morrison wrote a book titled, I think, "The Scream of the Butterfly" but until now I never really appreciated it. Jim kicks ass.
