Here it comes and HOLY SHIT!
https://www.nokings.org/#map

Hands Off was over 1,000 protests in April.

This one already has over 1,800 and counting planned.

One bummer though.

On June 14—Flag Day—Donald Trump wants tanks in the street and a made-for-TV display of dominance for his birthday. A spectacle meant to look like strength. But real power isn’t staged in Washington. It rises up everywhere else.

Instead of allowing this birthday parade to be the center of gravity, we will make action everywhere else the story of America that day: people coming together in communities across the country to reject strongman politics and corruption.

For that reason, NO KINGS is not hosting an event in Washington, D.C. We will instead have a major flagship march and rally in Philadelphia to draw a clear contrast between our people-powered movement and the costly, wasteful, and un-American birthday parade in Washington

Just because "NO KINGS is not hosting an event in Washington, D.C." doesn't mean that there won't be some.

Here's one, there may have been others:
'Refuse Fascism' group marches in DC against the military parade, Trump actions

... "Trump's birthday military parade is not a mere trip. It is a leap toward forging an army loyal not to the rule of law, but to Trump personally, with all the racism, misogyny, and MAGA 'America First' fascism that this involves. It must be opposed. In the name of humanity, Trump must go NOW," said Sunsara Taylor of Refuse Fascism....

A couple of bummers:

One person ‘critically injured,’ three in custody after shooting as 10,000 march in Salt Lake City during ‘No Kings’ protest
Police said one person has life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital. An arrested man also had a gunshot wound.

Lotta questions remain.
Man arrested for driving his SUV through 'No Kings' protest in Culpeper, none injured

CULPEPER COUNTY, Va. (7News) — Culpeper Police Department (CPD) arrested a man who drove his car into a crowd of protestors on Saturday, striking one of them, according to officials.

According to preliminary information from CPD, Joseph R. Checklick Jr, 21, intentionally sped his SUV into a dispersing "No Kings" protest near 801 James Madison Highway. One person was hit, but no injuries have been reported to authorities and the person that was struck has not been identified, police said.

Checklick Jr. was charged with reckless driving and is held without bond at the Culpeper County Jail. As the police investigation continues, officials said additional charges may be filed....

Veterans Arrested on Capitol Grounds on Eve of DC Parade, Trump Birthday

Veterans rushed the steps of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., during a protest against President Donald Trump and the upcoming parade celebrating the U.S. Army's 250th anniversary, prompting local authorities to arrest several people.

Why It Matters

... This follows staffing cuts to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as part of the Trump administration's mission to slash what it deems waste, fraud and abuse in federal government spending.

Thuy Nguyen on Friday speaks outside the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C., during a protest of Saturday's parade for the Army’s 250th anniversary, which falls on President Donald Trump's birthday.

What To Know

... 60 of those protesters soon broke off and tried to force their way onto the steps of the Capitol, pushing through a police perimeter and bike rack, at which point USCP officers started to detain individuals.

"USCP arrested approximately 60 demonstrators," the statement read. "All will be charged with unlawful demonstration and crossing a police line. Additional charges for some will include assault on a police officer and resisting arrest."

The protesters wore army fatigues over shirts that read "Veterans Against Fascism," and they carried signs with slogans saying such things as "Veterans Say Military Off Our Streets" and "Money For People, Not Parades."

Kevin Benderman on Friday addresses demonstrators outside the U.S. Supreme Court at a protest of Saturday's parade for the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary, which falls on President Donald Trump's birthday, in Washington, D.C.

... Progressive political action committee VoteVets over the Memorial Day weekend posted a message of heavy criticism against Trump and the Department of Government Efficiency.

"Gutting VA will result in delayed appointments and substandard care, leading directly to more veteran deaths. In fact, as reports and internal documents now prove, Elon Musk's wrecking ball is causing systems to fail, putting veterans at risk," Kayla Williams, Iraq War veteran and senior policy adviser at VoteVets, wrote in a post on X.

"It's a slap in the face to all who have worn the uniform in defense of our nation," Williams added.

Heroes, twice.
... Protest group 50501 (50 protests, 50 states, one movement) has urged members and supporters to reserve free tickets to the parade and then not attend in an effort to create a sparse crowd and lackluster display.
That was unnecessary.

Former U.S. Military Officials Fear 'Tiananmen Square Moment' At Trump Parade: Report
New York Times reporter Helene Cooper says she spoke to retired U.S. Army officials and Marine generals who are "very worried" about Saturday's parade.

Former U.S. military officials are “very worried” about the optics of President Donald Trump’s upcoming military parade and highly concerned about a potential “Tiananmen Square moment,” according to New York Times reporters speaking on Friday’s edition of “The Daily” podcast.

The parade is meant to celebrate the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary but will coincide with Trump’s 79th birthday and expected protests across the country — which retired officials believe could be a dangerous combination.

New York Times reporter Michael Barbaro said on Friday that “showcasing the U.S. military’s most fearsome weapons” and soldiers could feel like a threat to the citizens they’re meant to protect — rather than to “our foreign adversaries.”
It does to me.
“They are also worried about a potential Tiananmen Square moment, where you have a protester standing in front of a tank,” she continued. “That is not what America is supposed to look like. And this is another one of those potential scary things that we could see on Saturday.”
I missed my flight. :(
... She said Trump voters who see soldiers in Los Angeles as necessary will be able to “enjoy” the event, while people who’ve been victimized by the administration “might see this as another example of a government that’s trying to intimidate” them.

“And the biggest problem with this, according to the military leaders in President Trump’s first term, is this risks bringing the military into the middle of partisan politics,” Cooper continued. “You want an American military that all Americans feel is part of them.”

“You do not want a military that is a Trump military or a MAGA military, or a Democratic military or a Biden military,” she said. “You want a military that American people feel is a nonpolitical institution.”
We patriots may want that, TACO doesn't.
Trump Made His Supporters Endure Misery To Attend His Military Parade
Between the hours of sweltering heat and waiting in lines that went for blocks, it's no wonder the energy was so low at Trump's authoritarian-style display.

... When it got closer to the time to head over to the parade, it wasn’t clear where to go. There weren’t many signs. Hours in the sun, kids were starting to melt down, and streets barricaded off to traffic were filled with thousands of out-of-towners wandering around, asking police officers for directions to a security checkpoint that was blocks away.

Then the protesters showed up. They were a sharp contrast to this sluggish scene: energized, singing, dancing, blasting anti-war songs from speakers while holding up signs calling Trump a fascist. Dozens of them gathered next to a long line of people waiting to get into the parade, so attendees had to stand there as protesters shouted at them how dangerous and awful Trump was.
Yet another protest, as predicted.
“TRAITOR!!!!” one demonstrator repeatedly screamed in a demonic voice through a megaphone, just feet away from parade-goers nowhere near the security checkpoint yet.

If people still had stamina by this point in the evening, the sight of the blocks-long lines to get through security for the parade was enough to make some of them throw in the towel. HuffPost watched as various people and families wandered up to assess the line, talked among themselves and then walked away.

... Neither said they had strong opinions about the protests against Trump because they consider themselves “politics-naive.” But Eliana said she recently read about what the “No Kings” protests were about, and said she could relate to their anti-authoritation message.

“I just don’t want authoritarian. I don’t want another Fidel Castro type of thing,” said Eliana, who is originally from Miami.

Asked how they feel about Trump’s harsh immigration enforcement, both said they work with people who are immigrants and who are scared. Eliana said she provides health care to indigent populations, and many of her patients have stopped coming in for appointments.

“I have people with testicular cancer, prostate cancer, bladder cancer who are not coming in for their follow-ups,” she said. “They’re afraid we’re going to report them to ICE.”
Thank you, Eliana.
Dressed in red, white and blue overalls, and a cowboy hat, Christopher Quaglin of New Jersey stood next to a massive flag that read, “January 6 was an inside job.” He was a Jan. 6 defendant who spent two years in prison, though, prior to Trump releasing him, he was sentenced to 12 years for repeatedly attacking police officers, spraying them with chemical irritants and stealing police officers’ riot shields.

Quaglin said he “lost everything” after going to prison, and the reason he was attending the day’s events was “out of desperation for money.” He wants to go on a tour of colleges to talk to students about how hard it was for him in prison and to advocate for prison reform.
:violin: Treason has consequences.
He said he felt mixed about Trump going after undocumented immigrants who aren’t violent criminals. But moments later, he said he was fine with it and blamed former President Joe Biden for having “left the border open for four years.”

“It sucks, but you have to fight fire with fire,” Quaglin said of arresting and deporting immigrants who aren’t violent criminals. “They forced [Trump’s] hand.”

By the end of the day, the only people visibly energized and happy, at least among the throngs of people milling about after the parade ended, were the protesters. Even some Secret Service agents seemed over it.
We win.
One agent passed by HuffPost muttering about how to get the crowd dispersed after the parade and seemed reluctant to get aggressive about it, “just for some fucking propaganda.”

Protesters had grown by the dozens as people trickled out of the parade. They gathered on a street corner by one of the parade exits to greet people with jeers and signs like “All Hail Commander Bone Spurs” and “Stop Fascism Now.”

“Fuck Trump!” they shouted in unison at parade attendees filtering out of the event. “Shame! Shame! Shame!”

So after a painfully long day of lines and sweltering heat, many of the people who showed up to honor Trump in MAGA gear ended their day by being publicly shamed.

But Trump still got his birthday parade.

Sparse Attendance, Confusion and Disorganization: Dismal Scenes From Trump’s Military Parade
Photos and video offer a grim picture of what happened Saturday at the 250th anniversary military parade in D.C.

50 Thirteen founder Doug Landry shared a series of tweets that documented many issues with the parade Saturday. Landry described the event as “legitimately the worst executed mass attendance event I’ve ever seen” before sharing photos of a sparsely populated Washington Mall, the single checkpoint to which approximately 15,000 people were sent, maps that failed to offer clear direction, dozens of empty checkpoints, and empty VIP bleachers....

The regime is riddled with inefficiency and incompetence from top to bottom.

Trump’s Military Birthday Parade Was a Gross Failure

The WH spin should be interesting.
They're saying 250K attended the birthday parade. :laughing-rolling:
Trump Lackey Torn Apart for Wild Claim of Giant Parade Crowd
MATH NOT MATH-ING
The White House director of communications seems to be having trouble with basic arithmetic.

President Donald Trump’s director of communications has prompted ridicule with spurious claims over the size of the crowd at a Washington, D.C. military parade.

“Amazing. Despite the threat of rain, over 250,000 patriots showed up to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the @USArmy,” Steven Cheung posted to X on Saturday night. “God Bless the USA!”

MSNBC was quick to pour water on the claim.

“That’s just not accurate, that’s not even close to accurate,” reporter Vaughn Hillyard, who was present at the event, told hosts of MSNBC’s The Weekend on Sunday.

... “Steven Cheung in his ‘Sean Spicer’ moment declared FALSELY 250K people attended Trump’s vanity parade yesterday!!” one user put it. “The lying and delusion from this Trump administration never stops!!”

“Steven Cheung has no concept of the principles of empirical induction predicated from proven observation,” another chimed in. “Steven Cheung has no ability to use inference from established facticity. Steven Cheung is a deluded fantasist with no concept of actual reality.”

A third person simply wrote: “Trump’s nutsackhead is lying again.”

... “The sad spin starts,” as another described it. “The highest reasonable total is only 10-20K attending.”

Even Grok, X’s in-house AI factchecking tool, found it hard to wrangle any logic from Cheung’s post. “Claims of over 250,000 attendees at the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary parade in Washington, D.C., on June 14, 2025, appear exaggerated,” the program responded to a tag in the comments....
The No Kings estimate, which probably comes from No Kings, is 4-6M. If Hooterville can turn out 2500, I believe it. Maddow says 100K+ gathered in Philly.

We Asked An Expert Why Soldiers Were Marching So Badly In Trump's Military Parade, And Her Reasoning Makes Sense

... So, I spoke to Charlotte Clymer, an activist and DC-based writer, who covered the topic in her Substack "Charlotte's Web Thoughts." She served in the US Army from 2005–2012, including three years in the 3rd US Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard). Of her time in the Old Guard, she said, "I probably did hundreds of parades and various ceremonies, to say nothing of all the funerals that we carried out in Arlington National Cemetery. Beyond the actual missions, we were doing training all the time. We're talking 1000s of hours of drilling, marching, and various preparations for those ceremonies."

Charlotte, like some of the other veterans I spoke to, said that she initially hadn't planned to watch the parade. However, after being sent clips while she was at a No Kings protest, she was "surprised" and "beyond shocked" when she watched the whole thing. She said, "That is something I never thought I would see in my lifetime. The glaring nature of the poor quality of the marching really kind of shook me. And I know that might sound strange for people to hear, because for most folks, it's just a military parade. It's not that big a deal."

"But you have to understand, even beyond the whole honor aspect of this and discipline, fidelity to the mission, there's also just the consequences of not performing to standard in a military operation, even if it is just a parade," she continued. "Part of what makes soldiers meet a high standard of excellence is knowing there will be consequences if we don't. And in a parade of that public significance on national television, with the whole country watching, every soldier marching in that parade would normally understand that if they fail to meet at least a basic standard, they're going to face consequences for it."

Charlotte doesn't buy that some of the soldiers simply were from units that weren't used to marching. "Every soldier learns how to march during basic training, and it's not hard. It's remarkably easy," she continued, noting that the soldiers will have had a dress rehearsal a few days prior.

As for why we saw what we saw, she said, "I don't think this was a protest against Trump, or anything adjacent to anti-fascism or concern with how the government is operating. I don't think it had anything to do with that. I think this is just because they were treated very poorly and they didn't care. I think the soldiers who were misstepping during the parade — there were a lot of them — were just tired, annoyed, probably to some extent angry, and they just did not give enough of a shit to march to a high standard of excellence."

"Everyone is aware that this parade was done in service of Donald Trump — even the soldiers who likely voted for him know it was done in service to his ego. And I don't know about you, but I would never want to participate in the parade so that a lone individual could feel good about themselves," she explained. "Of course, we want to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the US Army. But everyone is aware that that's simply a proxy for Trump celebrating himself. He wanted to recreate what he saw in North Korea, in France, in these other countries, these massive, flashy military parades that really would center him. He wanted a tyrant celebration. Everyone was aware of that, and I think their unhappiness showed through pretty clearly."

Charlotte compared the parade with the inaugural parade, where "you'll almost never see a soldier out of step." Calling this event "deeply embarrassing," she said, "There are unfriendly nations probably watching this and wondering, does this military really support its commander-in-chief?"

Speaking to how the parade might reflect on potential military use in city protests, Charlotte said, "The whole point of having our military is to protect the Constitution and the people the Constitution is meant to serve. If we don't have a military that is nonpartisan, that serves lawful orders of the President by the direction of the Constitution, we're in big trouble. At the moment, it's pretty clear that there has been some degree of dissension and unhappiness in the ranks, whether or not that has to do with politics or the way the troops are being treated. This is a complex conversation, but it is clear that there is a deep unhappiness in the military at the moment." ...

The lifelong cowardly "bone spurs" Chickenhawk in Chief's real impact was in changing a non-mechanized historical recap and celebration into a Busby Berkeley-style North Korea clone. I guess Faux Noise has kept SoupySales ignorant of this.
My point exactly. It was a coincidence it was also Trump's BD. However, the deranged left tried to make it something it never was.

I hate to rain on your guys' parade. However the permit for the parade was filed in June 2024 before Trump was president.
I hate to rain on your delusions, but the Army had been planning an anniversary clebration for a long time. They just didn't plan on trump hijacking it and making it about him. You think it was chance that it was held on his birthday> The Army filed for the permit; they had no way of knowing trump would rain on their parade.
After the Dems made dementia Joe throw in the towel, they thought Kamala had it.

Isn't it "Rainbow" goat pride month? Kamala can participate in those, dementia Joe doesn't have the ability.
