I'm pretty dissilusioned with the left as well. Just wait till the up and coming generation of college protest cry-bullies starts taking the helm. To me that's just as frightening as right wing religious fundamentalists. In the end both extremes are the same.
The political spectrum has been described more as a circle than as a straight line, where the extremes are close or meet. But on the IRL practical side, the left (usually Dems) has not let its extremists run the train. The Republicans used to keep their own loons mostly in the asylum, too, but not since the Kenyan America-hater took office.
Yeah I agree with that. The Republicans have gone batshit crazy the last few election cycles.
Straight up though, I just want most people to fuck off and leave me alone.
That's my political maxim.

we already face the danger that the gulf between economic and technocratic elites on the one hand, and the mass of the people on the other, becomes too vast to be bridged. At the limit, trust might break down altogether. Thereupon, the electorate will turn to outsiders to clean up the system.

Then there is anxiety over rising inequality and economic insecurity. Perhaps the most fundamental cause is a growing sense that elites are corrupt, complacent and incompetent. Demagogues play on such sources of anxiety and anger. That is what they do.

As the US has developed a Latin American-style income distribution, its politics have grown infested with Latin American-style populists, of both the left and the right.

I used to take care of patients and computers were a tool to help me do that. Now, thanks to the IT department, I take care of computers and patients are tools to help me do that.

Ouch, burn JTA, banni and rstrong, it's all your fault. Stop oppressing us normal people.
Yo I totally agree I hate computers. I've never cussed anyone as much as I've cussed my computer at work. Then I get home and throw on my favorite video and me and my computer have make up sex. It's a love hate relationship.

Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s office is considering filing charges of inciting a riot against GOP frontrunner Donald Trump for the Fayetteville, North Carolina rally according to an NBC reporter and local media sources. The rally was the site where Trump supporter John Franklin McGraw was arrested for sucker-punching a black protester and threatening to kill him.
“We are looking at the totality of these circumstances, including any additional charges against Mr. McGraw, including the potential of whether there was conduct on the part of Mr. Trump or the Trump campaign which rose to the level of inciting a riot,” Sheriff’s Office lawyer Ronnie Mitchell told The Fayetteville Observer.

The medical field is horrible for IT, they won't spend a dime. I have to try to support clients that are still running Windows XP with IE8 or less.....
Not only is that a security nightmare for the hospitals/other facilities.... supporting 15 year old browser technology is not fun. "Why can't we get *insert new shiney feature??*" uh.... cause your running something that's 15 years old.....
The problem lies in management always looking for the next quarter return instead of the overall long term health for the business.
Even without Bernie I love seeing that "tough guy" chickenhawk cringe.
If you watch closely he pretends he's gonna attack, then hesitates until his security man steps in, then once the security man is firmly between Trump and whatever it is he's trying to attack, only then does Trump attack.
