Good point, but I'll stick with my quick toss guess. Maybe if he's just confessed to one Mormon (priest), but I don't see how all the committee can come under priestly confidentiality.

I'm gonna guess the wife is related to, or possibly still married to, Warren Jeffs and thus has an anarchist sort of attitude to child abuse.

It depends on the applicability of the “priest-penitent” privilege, whether mandatory reporting for pharmacists overrides it, whether there was a likelihood of further crimes which does override the “priest-penitent” privilege, and whether these issues were raised and settled when the husband plead guilty. She's not trying to free the asshole, she's trying to hold the church accountable for its alleged duties to parishioners.O Really wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2020 3:03 pm(Admitted) Child Abuser's Wife Sues Mormon Church For Reporting Him To Police

There should be a pool on how long it takes for this one to be tossed.![]()
Yeah, that occurred to me, too. We'll probably never hear about the resolution. The lurid part is that she's daring to sue, a settlement or whatever wisdom the courts apply not so much.
According to the limited article she was the one that forced him into Mormon counseling when she found out. Her argument, not that I agree with it, is that she did exactly what her church instructs and then got screwed by the church. Fair enough; but I wonder if their motivation is at all due to the fact that they themselves think of themselves as endangered species? They've been screeching and preaching for years that they are being "attacked" and otherwise are victims. They just can't seem to understand or accept that they are a minority that is getting smaller all the time in contemporary America.

I will vehemently resist any evangelical captive breeding and reintroduction program, though I might be okay with some remote protected habitat as long as the impact on normal people is not too great.neoplacebo wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 2:48 pmFair enough; but I wonder if their motivation is at all due to the fact that they themselves think of themselves as endangered species? I know of one remote and protected habitat for this species; it's called The Cove and is in Montreat. I had to go there a few times to assess and give an estimate for various security systems the operators of the facility wanted to install. They seemed to be pretty protective or maybe paranoid of their enclave. They are probably still there agonizing over what to do.Vrede too wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 2:54 pmI will vehemently resist any evangelical captive breeding and reintroduction program, though I might be okay with some remote protected habitat as long as the impact on normal people is not too great.neoplacebo wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 2:48 pmFair enough; but I wonder if their motivation is at all due to the fact that they themselves think of themselves as endangered species? For the good of both our species I think their need to be greater separation than that.

Well, hell, I may have to go to that "Uncommon Man" Retreat since I am one. Plus Tony Dungy and James Brown will be featured. I thought James Brown died quite some time ago. They must have brought him back for a limited engagement. I hope he performs "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" just to see how the administration reacts to it. And I think they're lying about being in Asheville; the place is way out past Black Mountain. I thought it was Montreat but it's hard to remember things when you're coming off drugs.Vrede too wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 3:14 pmhttps://thecove.org/neoplacebo wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 3:08 pmI know of one remote and protected habitat for this species; it's called The Cove and is in Montreat. "Christian" school in KY expels girl after they see a social media post of her with her birthday cake. A good example of trump's fear and hate, make it great America. Dumbasses.

Wait, wasn't the first rainbow symbology god's promise to Noah?
Why do the Baptist Christians at Whitefield Academy in Louisville hate god?

Woman in PA purposely drives into oncoming traffic to test her faith. God either didn't like that road, or he didn't like the kind of car she was driving. But I still don't hate religion.

Why didn't she WALK into traffic or in front of a train to test her faith? That would have been a much better test in my humble opinion.

There goes another one. NC pastor nabbed for sexual abuse of young girls. Feel free to donate to his million dollar bail. He wants you to have faith while he has faith that you will be blinded by it.

Re: The Religion Thread
Well, I just sent Rodney an email. I noted that since "you're in jail, I don't know when you'll get this...." but I was quite clear to him with regard to what I think of him and other fake Christians. I used a lot of words that are not in the Bible but I think Rodney will get my point. I ended my message by wishing him a long, slow, agonizing death.

Since he might not have access for awhile and the church may have cut off his email, anyhow, no harm in forwarding your note to one or more of the other complicit or oblivious church officials. Maybe they'll pass your wisdom on.

Yeah, these people are trump cult members without a doubt. They exemplify the "poorly educated" that trump gushes over. Several grammatical errors on their website. And it's been over six hours since I sent Rodney my email; if it hasn't come back as undeliverable by now, it won't. I urge all who care about and enjoy calling out fake Christians to write now before they get wise (become wise cunt attention seeking whores, as ratten would put it) and start rejecting the thousands of emails they should be getting about now. Let's show Rodney how we feel about him.
