Yeah, except that you can. It happens all the time. Happened at least twice yesterday down here in Spring Break Land. They don't put "Being Stupid" on the charge documents, of course, but it's fundamental stupidity that results in some actual infraction. Re: Gun Legislation
Yes, misleading. Your article does not mention what Colorado resident hunters think of non resident hunters at all. It is directed at the potential economic impact for the most part but it is still a good read. You are correct the impact to the entire state may be minimal. As long as Vale, Aspen, Copper, Breckenridge and all the other ski towns stay open the state's tourism will not suffer. However, individual towns like Newcastle, and Meeker will suffer on the local level if out of state hunters go elsewhere.Vrede wrote:Misleading? I lived out West for 30 years and I know what instate hunters think of out of state hunters. CO has a huge tourist economy, the impact will likely be negligible except for isolated businesses. You folks are free to snit all you want, most Coloradans won't miss you a bit.

Probably so, but don't other events/changes cause some locations or businesses to suffer and some to prosper? Building the interstates wiped out a lot of roadside businesses. Sad, but that doesn't mean it was a bad decision to build the road.Mad American wrote:. Its difficult communicating with someone as out of touch with reality as you appear to be but I didn't run off. You obviously sit here all day hitting the refresh button waiting for me to respond to one of your childish little taunts and then throw a hissy fit that I'm not hanging out all day with nothing to do. Sorry chump but you're going to have to beef up your act if you want me to pay you more attention.Mad American wrote:Ombudsman wrote:Sally, Sugar, Sweetie, do you still not comprehend that I was the first person to explain this to you? Yes O Really was more patient in walking you through it, step by baby step but he was just drawing you a picture of what I already said. I'm sorry I took a break and ran to Publix while he laid it out for you. I'd have done the same although my responses would have involved a lot more references to what a dip shit you are, but he beat me to it. It's good for you that people are more patient than I am with backwoods bumpkins but are you still so confused that you can't understand my original post?
You didn't explain jack shit idiot. You were proven a moron on federal gun law, ran off, waited, and then when vrede and o'really jumped in the conversation you popped out from under the porch yapping like an ankle biting dog. Just like the little ankle biting bitch you are, you got punted like a football. Crawl back under your porch and lick yourself bitch....the adults are talking.

In one of Freuds essays he discusses the appearance of weapons in a dream, in particular swords. He believed them to be phallic symbols and stated that fear of weapons in a dream by a woman meant fear of men. And it's not as if this a secret. Even gun manufacturers draw the connection and use it their marketing.

It's a rhetorical question, Mad. Re: Gun Legislation
They apparently bought all the weapons legally, along with the ammunition. They were apparently keeping it all legally. The police had no grounds to search their premises, and couldn't have done anything about their arsenal if they had. Even if everybody who knew Lanza thought he was a nut case, there is no provision to do anything with or about him. If he actually threatened no one, nor violated any law, there apparently wasn't anything anybody could have done to prevent his rampage. Just a regular ol' law-abiding NRA member who wants a bunch of "sporting" weapons just because he can, and whose "rights" to do so far outweigh the overall interests of the community and the hazards endured by the community.

Whats your point vrede. I've already proven over and over again that magazine swaps can be accomplished in seconds by the most inexperienced shooters...fractions of a second by proficient ones. Magazine size is irrelevant!Vrede wrote:3 rifles, a shotgun, 3 pistols, ten 30-round magazines for the AR-15, tons of ammo - all in the possession of just 2 law-abiding NRA members - 30+ rounds fired per minute, 26 kids and staff slaughtered.Newtown school gunman fired 154 rounds in less than 5 minutes
The gunman who killed 20 children and six adults at a Connecticut elementary school fired 154 rounds in less than 5 minutes, selecting high capacity magazines from a home arsenal stocked with swords, knives and a cache of guns, officials said.
Investigators also found a newspaper clipping about a mass shooting in the home that Adam Lanza shared with his mother, along with a gun safe in his bedroom, receipts from shooting ranges and National Rifle Association certificates for both of them, according to court papers released on Thursday.
To carry out the second deadliest school shooting in U.S. history, the 20-year-old Lanza used 30-round magazines...
"We now know that he left the lower capacity magazines at home," Malloy said in a statement. "This is exactly why we need to ban high capacity magazines and why we need to tighten our assault weapons ban."...
The searches showed that Lanza had many weapons besides the AR-15-type assault rifle and two handguns used in the December 14 attack...
The court papers said police searching the Lanza home found an Enfield Albian bolt-action rifle, a Savage Mark II rifle, a revolver...
The search also turned up a Saiga 12 shotgun and two magazines containing 70 rounds of ammunition in the car Lanza drove to the school.

They wouldn't. However, what happens the next time we have a mass shooting and the shooter used 6 ten round magazines instead of 2 thirties? Gonna cut them back to 5 rounds, then to 3, back to single shots.....where will it stop???O Really wrote:OK - I'll take your word for it.
