.... As for Roger Stone, trump's interference in this is just another clip down the fascist road which the cult gushes and fawns over. The national news tonight says four DOJ prosecutors have resigned over it. We have to change this or die trying. It's beginning to get bad.
GOP senators say Trump shouldn't weigh in on pending sentences

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska)
Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine)
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.)
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), sorta
Trump officially withdraws nomination of ex-US attorney from Treasury post

... On Tuesday it was reported that the president was expected to rescind his nomination of Jessie Liu, former U.S. Attorney for D.C., who presided over several high-profile cases, such as the case against former Trump campaign advisor Roger Stone.

Liu was scheduled to testify before the Senate Banking Committee on Thursday.
Susan Collins walks back her claim that Trump learned his “lesson” following her vote to acquit him
"I may not be correct on that," Collins tells Fox News. "It's more aspirational on my part"

Collins says her vote to acquit Trump wasn't about predicting his behavior after saying he 'learned' from impeachment

U.S. intelligence told lawmakers of Russian bid to boost Trump re-election - source

U.S. intelligence officials told lawmakers last week that Russia is interfering in the 2020 election campaign by aiming to cast doubt on the integrity of the vote and boost President Donald Trump's re-election, a person familiar with the briefing said on Thursday.

The person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the matter's sensitivity, said Trump's Republican allies on the Democratic-led House Intelligence Committee questioned the assessment presented by officials of the Office of National Intelligence last Thursday.

"The Republicans responded as you would expect. They went nuts," said the person. "They questioned the intelligence." ...
The purges continue:
The New York Times reported on Thursday that a day after the briefing, Trump rebuked acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire for allowing his staff to appear before the committee. It quoted five people familiar with the matter.

Trump said on Wednesday he was replacing Maguire on an acting basis with Richard Grenell, a strong Trump loyalist who has served as ambassador to Germany since 2018....

Treasonous 45SHOLE has previously been dismissive of our national intelligence infrastructure, as stupid as that is. Now, he is actively working to subvert both the intelligence that's produced and the accuracy of info presented to Congress that it needs to make decisions in our national interest.

POSPOTUS has also appointed Richard Grenell to be our Director of National Intelligence. Never mind that he "has no background in intelligence matters" and will keep his position as ambassador to key ally Germany, thus damaging both jobs. Grenell's only apparent qualification is being "a staunch Trump loyalist."

Mindless Dolt .45 cultists don't care. Their idol can do no wrong and America's national security be damned.

It was the galactically ignorant Devin Nunes that ran to trump last week and told him about the Congressional briefing from the Intelligence agencies. Nunes is one of the dumbest people on the planet.

Obama's errand boy, Brennan, hasn't been a member of the CIA for a long while.
As CIA station chief in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1996, Brennan missed intelligence that could have prevented the bombing of the Khobar Towers that killed 19 American servicemembers and injured nearly 500 others. Brennan’s team came under “heavy criticism for their lack of preparation and foresight for what was considered an intelligence failure.” According to the New York Times, "significant shortcomings in planning, intelligence, and basic security left American forces in Saudi Arabia vulnerable."

And after the 2009 attempted Christmas Day bombing of a Northwest Airlines passenger jet as it was landing in Detroit, Brennan “confessed” he had “let the President down by underestimating a small group of Yemeni terrorists and not connecting them to the attempted bomber.” Had the bomber been successful, it would have been a terrible tragedy on Christmas Day.

In the aftermath of Sept. 11 it was Brennan who, as director of the National Counterterrorism Center, advised President George W. Bush to escalate the terror alert warning to an “orange terror alert” during Christmas 2003. That intelligence was later proven false. In fact, it was called “bogus intel.”

The Khobar Towers incident was by a truck bomb that drove up to the place and blew up. How do you figure Brennan could have prevented it? In 2009 Brennan was Assistant to the President for Homeland Security; The Christmas airline bombing attempt was from the British clown who tried to ignite his explosive shoes. Brennan was not at the boarding gate at either end of that flight and nobody else discovered this shoe bomber either. So how is it any fault of Brennan? After this incident everyone takes off their shoes at airports. That in itself should clue you in to how the shoe bomber incident is no fault of any one person. However, If you want to talk about intelligence failure, the mother of them all was the failure of the intelligence community to not know that Iraq did not have nuclear weapons. What else you got? And changing the stupid Bush terrorist threat color code from eggshell white on a Cadillac to orange does not constitute a failure of any kind, just a precaution.

No one here is posting about John Brennan. This is just 1 FAT CAN's desperate and wimpy deflection from his idol's recent horrendous national security moves.
In fact, all of the BRD references I can find to Brennan’s professional career are negative:

Yep, ain't it the truth......but I was wrong in posting that the Christmas airplane bombing was the shoe bomber; it was the underwear bomber. But my rationale still holds in that Brennan was not on underwear checking duty that day. And we don't have to take our underwear off at the airport, which is good for a lot of people.

I don't care if leftists are lining up behind Adam Schiff to sniff John Brennan's butt.

John Brennan, a man who voted for the Communist Party candidate Gus Hall in the presidential election of 1976, briefed in 2008 then-Senator Barack Obama for his presidential bid, and later went on to become President Barack Obama’s director of the CIA.

John Brennan, a man no longer in the CIA tweeted out to leftist news media outlet NY Times: We are now in a full-blown national security crisis. By trying to prevent the flow of intelligence to Congress, Trump is abetting a Russian covert operation to keep him in office for Moscow’s interests, not America’s.

Adam Schiff, a member of the impeachment fiasco was present during the briefing to the House Intelligence committee.

Bernie Sanders briefed by U.S. officials that Russia is trying to help his presidential campaign.
“Wouldn’t he rather have Bernie, who honeymooned in Moscow?” Trump asked, referring to the Senator’s travels in the former Soviet Union. Sanders told reporters Friday after The Washington Post’s report was published that he received the briefing “about a month ago.” Asked why he did not disclose the briefing publicly, Sanders replied, “Because I go to many intelligence briefings which I don’t reveal to the public.”

You're really a special kind of stupid, aren't you? Not only did Bernie not throw a whiny fit when he was told about the likelihood of Russia interfering in his favor in US elections, he came out and said he he did not doubt it and that their "help" is not wanted. trump, on the other hand, when told about Russia interfering and preferring him to win the election, went into a full whiny juvenile moron fit, fired the head of the Intelligence apparatus, and replaced him with a fan boy like you who has no intelligence agency experience. And, like you, this new guy trump appointed probably has no intelligence at all on any subject....it's why he got the job; he's a cultist fanboy. As for your irrelevant whine that Bernie did not publicly disclose the Intelligence committee briefing publicly, what has that got to do with anything? House and Senate committee briefings happen all the time without being announced to the public; they are unremarkable in that they happen in the course of normal business. Have you always been so stupid or have you had to cultivate and nurture your stupidity in order to display it now in such full bloom?

Hilarious; nobody cares if you don't care that "leftists are lining up.....to sniff John Brennan's butt." You really do need to get off this fetish you have about shit and butts and fudge.

John Brennan was about 20 years old in 1976 and a young idealist. Gus Hall ran for president several times as a Communist. He has a long history of labor union activism going back to the 1930's and was advocating for labor in 76 which is about the time that corporate America began selling out the American worker in favor of cheap foreign labor. Brennan was smart enough back then to see what this would lead to. And now we have it; our country totally dependent on a foreign country providing us with everything from our clothes to our toothbrushes, not to mention the astronomical trade deficit this creates because we don't make anything here anymore. But I guess you will take the side of the corporate fat cats who benefit from this cheap labor and cheer at the top of your lungs about how our economy has become a service economy instead of an industrial powerhouse like it was for about a hundred years before 1976. This only shows your stupidity and demonstrates how you vote against your own interests and the interests of your kids and grandkids.

John Brennan calling attention to the fact that our country is facing a national security crisis is commendable and deserves no further comment.

It sounds to me like you have been reading right wing nutjob opinion articles and glomming onto their more idiotic talking points and are now parroting them on this forum. What the fuck is wrong with you? Can't you find any articles about farts, shit, fudge, and leftists? Goddamn.
