Fox News’ Jesse Watters took exception to Doug Emhoff accompanying Kamala Harris to a store on his show Thursday night, asking viewers: “What kind of husband goes grocery shopping with his wife?”

During a segment on his eponymous Primetime show, Watters slated the former VP for setting up a blog and said that “Mamala” had been “caught” grocery shopping.

It is clear Watters' satire goes over Cubs' head.

Jessica Tarlov is awesome. Harold Ford, Jr. too. I don’t usually agree with their views, but both are well-spoken, fair and extremely patient with their co-hosts.

I love “The Five,” but I hate Jeanine Pirro. She’s loud and arrogant and full of herself. Not too crazy about Jesse Watters, either.

My ideal “five” would be Dana Perino, Greg Gutfeld, Jessica Tarlov, Harold Ford and Tyrus. I like Tyrus because he’s just a regular guy with a regular guy’s perspective.

The Fox News panelists on Monday were debating a MAGA author’s claim that President Donald Trump’s tariffs will reverse a crisis of masculinity in the U.S. by bringing back jobs requiring brawn.

Watters, whose comments on gender are annoyingly frequent, weighed in.

“When you sit behind a screen all day, it makes you a woman,” he said. “Studies have shown this,” he continued as one of the panelists cackled. “Studies have shown this!”

“If you’re out working ... you are around other guys; you’re not around HR ladies and lawyers. That gives you estrogen,” he said.

HR is going to mess with him now. They are evil and all-powerful.

In recent lectures on masculinity, Watters instructed men on how they should wave and belittled those who grocery shop with their wives.

And, fellas, don’t get him started on licking ice cream in public.

I messed up . I posted the Fox teaser. The article actually has a sub-headline that IDs the grandson as the perp:

I try to avoid clicking on Faux links, but decided I should double check.

So, the only real differences are that the CBS teaser is more informative about the grandson and says "county official" in place of Fox's "Republican official".

Not a big deal unless one is picky about teasers . I will admit that when I saw the Fox teaser I was hoping that it wasn't a lefty assassination attempt.

Mentioning "Republican" implies that party is relevant. Brings partisan politics into a story where it has no real place. The teaser wasn't necessarily inaccurate but was clearly intended to create a false narrative. And it worked, somewhat. Even for us.
