Well, under the current approach to bad behaviour, it doesn't count as punishable unless there's a legal conviction. So to that degree, the 'Skins got lucky and can claim they didn't jump to early conclusions and treated Foster fairly. But there are way too many variables in circumstances, charges, and legal wizardry to rely only on convictions to convince an employer that a person is a dangerous worthless shit.

Is Foster a dangerous worthless shit? I haven't followed the case closely and the article I linked doesn't really indicate one way or the other. If he is, FU DC.

I really don't know about Foster, but my point was that there are a lot of dangerous worthless shits that keep their jobs (in sports as well as law enforcement) because they haven't been convicted. I think the bar ought to be higher.

I agree, though I think the NFL has punished some non-convicts. I doubt it's been strong enough or often enough.

Oh, they've punished some non-convicts, fershure. Questionable "drug" screens, speaking uncharitably to or about the coach/owner, kneeling for the National Anthem... beating up on the females, not so much.

Yeah, thanks - although I wouldn't have been all that unhappy to see da Bears win. But at least one "bird" team managed to pull out a win. 'Hawks certainly didn't help the happiness level around the O Really abode.

Turns out that it was on the coaches' blocking scheme or on the O-line, probably not the kicker.

Not a miss: NFL officially credits Eagles' Treyvon Hester with blocked kick vs. Bears

Yeah, I feel bad for the kicker anyway, but it was pointed out that of the Bears 15 points, Parkey scored 9 of them. Seems maybe he wasn't the only one to blame for not scoring enough to win.

Idk, the NFL and the guy with the wittle bit of finger think it was a block

. . . and I'll bet that the kicker agrees. ;)
