... Goose Island had offered anyone who made the 43-yard attempt a prize of airfare, hotel and tickets to any regular-season NFL game next season. If any contestant had made the attempt, he or she would have had a chance to break the NFL record with a 65-yard try, but it never got to that point....

I might have tried when I was younger, I could goal kick a soccer ball more than 43 yards pretty accurately, but I would NOT have waited in line for hours just to get a chance.

Can't decide with New England vs Kansas City. I'm so tired of the Pats, but KS is so con and there's that chant. Maybe I'll pick a favorite by game time. Not sure who I would bet on, either. KC is favored by 3 early. That's the standard home field advantage.

OT. The Saints were robbed by a pass interference non-call in the red zone in the last 2 minutes that would have won the game for them, but I can't say whether there was otherwise ref bias in the game.

Trivia: The #1 & #2 conference seeds are playing both games today.

Jared Goff is the youngest QB ever to go to the SB. That will last all of 3 hours if KC and Patrick Mahomes win.

I'm not sure if Sean McVay is the youngest head coach ever to go to the SB, but he's got to be close.

When I was a kid, long before ever visiting LA, the Rams were my other team besides DC, and Deacon Jones of the "Fearsome Foursome" was my favorite player.

Visitors won both games. I think I heard that the home team won the championship games the last 6 years.
