I've not endorsed any strategies or prohibitions, nor attempted to introduce any type of legislation. You have a way of twisting one's thought or words that are nothing more than words of an annoying troll; not unlike a couple of other posters.

I merely posted the links to a couple of news pieces that caught my attention, because the ever increasing use and abuse of hard drugs have grown to epidemic proportions. Yes, the drug war is a losing battle overall, but that doesn't mean the answer is to legalize drugs and everything will be all hunky-dory.

Let's look...

You said "drugs are a public health problem and should be dealt with that way"....so you're saying we who do not use drugs should pay to rehabilitate addicts at the "enormous costs" to taxpayers?

You said "destabilization of our hemispheric neighbors".....so you're saying that our attempts to wipe out drugs would destabilize the economy of the countries that turn a blind eye to it's manufacture?

You said "the horrible violence of the marketplace".....what about the horrible violence caused by those "poor" drug induced addicts that you so vehemently defend; whether their drugs are legal or illegal? You know, the Moms killing their kids, Dads abandoning their families, petty and felony thefts to support habits, disrespect for LEO's, etc.?

You said "stop trying to legislate morality".... so you're fine living in a society that has no morality? responsibility? respect for human life or property?

You said "No one here defends drug abuse".......your defense only involves drug use?

Think about what I said about that "hand-basket" thingy....yup, it's coming.

The big difference is that Dems don't claim to be the "family values" party and haven't intentionally duped millions of their fans with the fiction.

Nietzsche, in reference to "values", said something along the lines that when a society's values are no longer second nature (instinct) and become something instead you have to put thought into and develop a system to support and show-case, those values are no longer true values.

Guess what I'm saying is all this BS you hear about so-and-so touting their "values" is a load of crap. If they were truly about their values they'd live it and shut up about it. To me that's more respectful. I think Jesus had something to say about this as well?

Yeah, Jesus seemed pretty cool on the surface, or at least the writing about him. Who knows. If he lived today he'd be labeled a socialist communist liberal traitor and hung again by conservatives though. IMHO

I saw a Muslim woman all wrapped up in her shroud shopping in Kroger's. I picked up a package of pork chops to put in her cart, but she had a little boy with her (Not wrapped in a shroud, of course) and he was watching me. Too bad. I saw another one with her head all wrapped up but she had on a kaftan with gold sequins all over the sleeves.

I'll keep watching until that other one gets to check out and finds the pork chops.
