Trump takes a lot of flak for his shit bag supporters, and theres no arguing many of them are definitely shit bags, but on the flip side, just to be fair and balanced like Fox News for a moment, almost every vocal Bernie Sanders supporter I personally follows the following paradigm:

Broke. Working shitty jobs. From upper middle class background. Mom and dad has their back. Trust fund kid playing hippy while earning an art degree.

I wish I had a well off mom and dad so I could play hobo for a while :'(

Granted, being a pretentious douche is better than being a violent asshole.

I'm basing my observations off of a handful if Bernie Sanders supporters ive seen in Asheville since I've been up that way a lot. I believe my sample is representative of the entire nation.

I'm voting for me this election.

To be accurate, JTA mentioned "kid(s) playing hippy". I countered with "playing?", implying that many of us are the authentic "graying generation founded on peace and love" hippies that your article discusses, though some of us passed "graying" years ago.

Germany's law-abiding opposition to Hitler got crushed.

Just for argument's sake, if the early Brown Shirts got their asses kicked repeatedly by commies and others to the point where they withered, would that have been a bad thing?

I mean, in hindsight, no, because I know about the Holocaust and world war 2. But somehow how I doubt beating up the opposition is going to cause them to throw up their arms and cower down. Quite the contrary, actually. This will be a boon for Trump. It just provides him with more ammunition. Especially with these fools waving around a Mexican flag, its only going to provide more fuel to Trumps nationalistic fervor.

Whelp, a few Sanders supporters I know were bitching about Trump not saying anything about his white supremacist supporters and violence from his inbred rally attendees, now I await them to do the same with Bernie Sanders and his Mexican nationalist supporters, and others causing violence in his name.

Oh wait, not gonna happen. Do you know why? Because people are hypocrites and have a tendency to ignore things in favor of their demagogue of choice. People need a figure to package up all of their shitty ideals in something easily worshipped.

I'm voting Gary Johnson.

In my hypothetical, I was assuming the weakness of Hitler's early crew. Though I think that comparisons to Trump are apt, I agree that violence is not a wise tactic here and now.

One would have to demonstrate that they are "Sanders supporters" for him to take any responsibility. In general, violent radicals have given up on the electoral system, if these are even eligible to vote at all. Sanders did condemn the minor violence from his team at the AZ Dem convention.

It's an easy choice for you, SC's electoral votes will certainly go to Trump.
