Re: Wingnutties out of control!
I've not been able to find a way to get to Cheney; he's pretty insular and secure in his delusional universe. But if I do get to him, I have a special kind of hell to bring down on him; probably give him another heart attack, which sort of bothers me in the sense that another donor will suffer the same fate as the one whose heart beats in Dick's chest and that the taxpayers will foot the bill for the next transplant. It would bother me to be responsible for that.

Re: Wingnutties out of control!
Ted Cruz and other Tea Party leaders get their power and SuperPAC money from impotent right-wing rage. Increasingly they declare the Republican moderates to be the enemy. They're the perfect candidates for Fox News, which also makes bigger profits milking impotent right-wing rage when Democrats are in power or are seen to get away with some right-wing fantasy conspiracy.
And so Ted Cruz and the other nutjob wranglers will simply declare this further reason to throw out Big Government and the GOP Establishment. Fox News will spread the message. Donate to their SuperPACs to make it happen.

Re: Wingnutties out of control!
I read another story today that suggests the GOP will likely attempt to make "dynamic scoring" the main criteria in evaluating budget decisions like tax cuts and spending cuts, etc. This concept is supposedly based on macroeconomics and also the previously disproven idea of "trickle down" economic theory in which tax cuts spur growth, thus replacing the lost revenue of the tax cuts. It would seem these dubmasses are intent on even more reductions in taxes for fat cats and corporations. You'd think they'd take a look at what's been happening in Kansas the past couple of years, where this bullshit has been in effect and practiced. I guess there's just no telling what these morons will try to do once they get their hands on the throttle. Mostly what trickles down is bullshit.

Re: Wingnutties out of control!
I can take or leave Sharpton but my favorite tax cheat is former Marine and former FBI agent and former GOP NY Congressman Grimm. I think I got that across to him in the email I sent him about a week before he resigned the other day. Now he can concentrate all his energies on "Grimm's Fairy Tales" while in prison.Vrede wrote:Not that I'm much of an "al (sic) sharpton (sic)" fan but he is not to a member of the whiny dominant race, he's never argued for black racial supremacy, and if tax cheats were excluded the White House would never have any guests at all. Plus, hypocrisy has to be demonstrated, stupid, not just be something you imagine as a lame diversion.

Yeah, I read that article earlier today; pretty good. And I would suspect Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner spells Rev. Sharpton's name in lower case as his clever way of showing no respect. I have no personal respect for Roland but defend his right to accumulate as many guns as possible; in fact, I encourage him to do so based on the theories of statistics and averages.Vrede wrote:Plus, "al (sic) sharpton (sic)" has not been elected to office or been given a congressional leadership position. The Grimm and Scalise stories are as much about the idiocy of the GOP and GOP voters as they are about individual failings.
Five ways to know you’re speaking to white supremacists
And other useful tips for Steve Scalise and budding politicians everywhere.
Very funny. I won't spoil it for you by naming the five ways or quoting bits.

Well thank you...I'm glad I have your blessing...and the feeling is mutual by the way. Funny thing about my gun collection, it is extensive and grows regularly, but in the more than 3 decades I have had some of them not a SINGLE ONE has ever loaded and fired itself. Darnedest thing really...apparently I've just not managed to get my hands on one of those scary guns you fools are so worried about yet.neoplacebo wrote: I have no personal respect for Roland but defend his right to accumulate as many guns as possible; in fact, I encourage him to do so based on the theories of statistics and averages.

I got the biggest kick from firing an M-60 while at sea once. And the .357 handgun is also nice; I like the noise and the kick that it has. I suppose my overall favorite was the Colt Combat Commander .45 though. Capable of knocking the aggressor down but easy to handle and reload. I've wanted to get a nice cannon for a while now. They really kick ass, and it's damn near impossible to shoot yourself with one.JTA wrote:What is your favorite:Roland Deschain wrote:Well thank you...I'm glad I have your blessing...and the feeling is mutual by the way. I know some of you guys here really dislike guns and that's cool everyone is entitled to their opinion, but damn if it isn't fun as hell to shoot them.neoplacebo wrote:I got the biggest kick from firing an M-60 while at sea once. I haven't shot too many different firearms myself. One of my friends has a pretty large collection that we take out to the range every so often, but I've only got a couple of my own firearms.

Well, I don't dislike guns; I just dislike dubmasses having access to them and when things go bad, gun nuts talk about gun "rights" like dubmasses.

It's hard to say, and a lot of my guns are for specific purposes and situations. One of my favorite activities is long range shooting with my rifles. Something rather satisfying about putting a bullet accurately on target at 500+ yards...consistently!JTA wrote: What is your favorite:

Re: Wingnutties out of control!
No doubt man. Next gun I purchase is going to be some kind of rifle. I'm leaning heavily towards an SKS because it seems like a relatively cheap rifle that fires relatively cheap ammop at ~5 bucks for a box of 20 rounds. Mosin Nagants can be be had for real cheap too but the ammo seems to cost a little more, and that's something I'm trying to avoid. I really don't care what I get as long as it's inexpensive to shoot and fun. A 22 would no doubt be a good option but I'd prefer something a bit larger.Roland Deschain wrote:It's hard to say, and a lot of my guns are for specific purposes and situations.
