I didn't mean to imply that I don't like DWTS. I'm just not so into dance as to watch full hours of it week after week. Since you've watched more of it, O Really, am I off base in thinking that Hernandez has a lock on the win and Lochte will be gone soon?

Oh, she'll get to the final three, and would be best odds to win. But sometimes at the finals, things turn out differently and the "best" dancer might not win. Lotke isn't very good, and may not have much of a following left, but he's not as bad as Perry. But yeah, he'll be gone soon. I thought (was afraid that) the "little person" would be a novelty like dwarf-tossing, but she's actually pretty good. Particularly considering her awkward conformation and the fact she had a baby back around the first of August.

I'm not guessing based on "best" dancer. Hernandez looks great to me, but I'm no expert. Rather, my prediction is coming from assessment of the entire package and of American likes. Same for Lochte, I haven't watched him dance.

Shawn Johnson did win Season 8. However, Aly Raisman only came in 4th more recently. I just think that there's something special about Hernandez. She's infectious.

So, I'm watching this tonight, thinking it's stunning and flawless and that she would stand out in a group of pro dancers, and I'm remembering this post. But, what do I know about dance (other than early/mid 1970s square dancing)?

She can dance, but even her hat throws are perfect - 2:40. Nice move at 3:05, called "velcro" by a judge at 5:25.

At least one other couple got a perfect 40 last night.

I don't know, a short sexy dance is one thing but playing a murderous vixen for an entire show at 16 years old might be pushing it. She is probably well past high school senior play level, though.
