OK, so why can't we come up with something the right-wingers would fall for? They're susceptible to disinformation. Let's give them some. Sure, I'd prefer a well-articulated platform that addresses significant issues, but I'm not sure that approach is viable anymore. In an electorate that can produce Trump, whether or not he got an actual majority, I think it's going to take flash and shiny objects. Hopefully some substance behind it, but I don't think the substance will win by itself.

They don't care. What could be worse than: '45SHOLE is a Putin stooge and campaign finance felon that lusts after his daughter' or 'The GOP is the Nazi/KKK party'? We didn't even have to make those up.

Off the top of my head, though, and sticking with this one issue as an example - instead of exclusively playing defense, how about a campaign built around:

Immigrants Care for American Grannies
Immigrants Garden America
Immigrants Build America

NGOs do this, but not the cautious Dems.

But his net approval dropped by 2 points among Democrats in the poll.

Mr Trump’s overall approval remained unchanged over the past week. According to the poll, 41 per cent of the American public said they approved of his performance in office, while 55 per cent disapproved.

In other words, POSPOTUS and most Repugs are racist and un-American.
