EXCELLENT question.
Let's see... That's not Honey...
The Tea Party already has the copyright on "Hee Haw meets 28 Days Later." "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?" is already taken and we already know the answer.
But fake militia, a fake Marine and a fake judge in a fake siege for a fake cause is the very definition of "Reality" TV.

Fear and Loathing in Malheur
We were somewhere around week one, on the edge of the park, when the dildos began to roll in.

The Guardian: Oregon militia standoff: man arrested driving stolen government vehicle
Medenbach, 62, was detained outside a Safeway supermarket in Burns, Oregon, some 30 miles from the Malheur national wildlife refuge, according to a statement from the Harney County sheriff’s office.
He appears to have driven from the occupied compound to a local supermarket in a vehicle allegedly stolen from the US Fish and Wildlife Service, which runs the refuge.

Raw Story: Tearful militant discovers friend drank away donation money: ‘It’s like finding out there is no such thing as Santa’
Peltier said Ritzheimer had confirmed that Oshaugnessy had kept the money he had raised through social media for himself and had spent at least some of it on a drinking binge.
[...]
The militants have been allowed to come and go freely from the nature preserve in the absence of a law enforcement presence, but at least one of them, Brian “Booda” Cavalier, failed to return after a newspaper report revealed he had lied about serving in the U.S. Marines.

They are like children playing Dukes of Hazard. Did they really think changing the name on the door renders the General invisible to Boss Hogg. These fucking morons drove 30 miles away from their fort, into an enemy town in disguised vehicles to buy food.
, the two vehicles, one a pickup truck and one a passenger van, bore door signs reading “Harney County Resource Center” – the new name occupiers have given to the sanctuary
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”

They aren't authorized to use Harney County government vehicles, either.billy.pilgrim wrote:They are like children playing Dukes of Hazard. Did they really think changing the name on the door renders the General invisible to Boss Hogg....

Father Of Boy Murdered At Sandy Hook Is Receiving Death Threats From Conspiracy Theorists
Yeah, it's freakoutnation.com, which I find to be a bit hyperbolic at times; there is a link within the article to WaPo, too.
Having said that, I think it unlikely that Mr. Pozner has anything to worry about from the garden variety, dickless basement denizen that is 99% of conspiracy trash. But that sort of shit can inspire other wingnuts- the ones with more guns, ODS and angst than brains- to do something violent, which is about all the response they know.
Conspiracy tards are fucked up.
