College basketball

[O Really]

Who's the scheduling genius that thought it was a good idea to send App State to Duke? Hopefully App State got paid a lot.

That's right up there with Auburn v Nebraska 99-68

I didn't know Nebraska had a basketball team. Apparently they don't.

"Nebraska has the distinction of being the only major conference program to have never won a game in the NCAA Tournament, and did not make the tournament until 1986."

98-69? Seriously?! Who the eff are these guys and why are they wearing UNC shirts? Worse ass-beating than second-tier Elon got from Duke.

UNC has lost to every ranked team it's played.

Maybe #21 UK will drop in the rankings after this game.

Not to mention names, but there may be some coach who shouldn't bother to hang pictures in his office.

Walker Kessler

You're 12-1, just beat #16 LSU and are #11, maybe Top Ten soon, congrats.

9-3 UNC did not get a single vote, still having lost to every ranked team it's played.
Otoh, Duke is 11-1 and #2, having lost only to #13 OH St.

And the 1 loss was a double overtime, but then it's Auburn, most anything could happen.

I'm pretty sure the Lowe's and hardware stores around Chapel HIll have sold out of pitchforks and REI has no torches left. If they can find any feathers around there, somebody will be getting a new context of "Tarheels."

Opps. O Really must be happy - a Duke loss + a U win.

#15 Bammer. Good luck, #9.

[billy.pilgrim]

Damn, #4. Of course way too early to mean much.

Congrats. It won't be as big a triumph to stomp now #24 Alabama tomorrow, but you will knock it out of the rankings entirely.

3 UCLA
8 Duke (could be worse)

[billy.pilgrim]

WGDE bama has lost in football and basketball in the past 24 hours.

[O Really]

Congratulations!

So what I want to know is how the eff can one beat Dook and lost to FSU in the same week?

[billy.pilgrim]

"That's actually Alabama's thing, man," Auburn junior Allen Flanigan said. "The football team did it to us (after the Iron Bowl). We were all right behind the end zone in the final seconds, and when (John Metchie III) scored the touchdown, they came right there to the end of the end zone and did the little karate kick. So we stole their move"

Bammer sucks, WDE.

Congratulations!

To be fair, the U beat Duke by only 2 and lost to 13-4 (5-1) FSU by only 1. Keep the faith.

[billy.pilgrim]

To be fair: We're #1, we're #1, We're #1, we're #1, We're #1, we're #1.

College basketball rankings: Auburn leaps Baylor in Top 25 And 1 after Bears suffer first loss of the season

Way way too early to brag, but damn, I gotta share, Auburn has never been in anyone's top 10 during during the regular season to my knowledge.

To be fair ;) : CBS Sports Top 25 And 1
Still AP and Coaches #4 until at least 1/17. Passing Baylor may happen, but perhaps not #2 Gonzaga or #3 UCLA unless they lose.
https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/rankings/
USA Today/ESPN is the same.
RPI has Auburn #1, but it's a weird one. For example, Gonzaga is #53.
NET puts Auburn at #6.

Rumor has it that the polls will sync up on April 4.
