Trump

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Nah. His blog is a firehose of Tea Party half-truths, quarter-truths and fantasies, but no different from what you'd have seen before the primaries. It's not so much pro-Trump or any other Republican candidate, as anti-Democrat.

For example:

BREAKING – Hillary’s 15 Point Lead is Down to … Nothing.

The Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll margin was never as high as 15 points, this one ended 8/3, early in Trump's disastrous week, and:

General Election: Trump vs. Clinton vs. Johnson vs. Stein: RCP Average Clinton +7.1
General Election: Trump vs. Clinton: RCP Average Clinton +7

Joe the Plumber is desperate for any shred of imaginary good Trumpish news, "anti-Democrat" ain't doing well and he is not "looking better to America".

Ivanka Trump champions working moms — except the ones who design her clothes

... “Policies that allow women with children to thrive should not be novelties,” she declared. “They should be the norm.”

The eldest Trump daughter, 34, has built her personal brand around this cause, penning a book called “Women Who Work” and leading the family-friendly policy charge on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. But the company that designs her clothing line, including the $157 sheath she wore during her convention speech, does not offer workers a single day of paid maternity leave....

Last month, British newspaper The Independent revealed most of the Ivanka Trump brand’s clothing was manufactured in Vietnam and China. Donald Trump, whose apparel also is largely made overseas, has made decrying outsourced jobs central to his campaign.

Tell Ivanka Trump:
As long as you're advocating for working women, grant your own employees paid family leave.

Thanks.
Donald Trump suggests '2nd Amendment people’ could stop President Hillary Clinton

... “Hillary wants to abolish — essentially abolish — the Second Amendment,” the Republican nominee said at a rally in Wilmington, N.C., on Tuesday afternoon. “And if she gets to pick, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do.”

Trump added: “But the Second Amendment people, maybe there is. I don’t know.” ...

Last month, Al Baldasaro, a New Hampshire state representative and Trump surrogate, told a radio host that Clinton “should be put in the firing line and shot for treason.”

The U.S. Secret Service said it was aware of Baldasaro’s comments and would “conduct the appropriate investigation.” ...

Trump's clean-up people are claiming the reference was to the "great organizing ability of them and being able to get out votes [against Hillary]" Right. They should google "Second Amendment Solution" and see if it has alternate meanings. And if others (like Sharon Angle) have said it and didn't mean organizing the vote. Idiots.

Trumpettes keep having to explain what Trump really meant. Either Trump is too dumb to speak clearly or he knows exactly what he's saying and Trumpettes are dumb for trying to rationalize it.

Gunhugging Scalia wrote in Heller - otherwise a victory for ammosexuals - that banning some weapons and reasonable regulation of other ones are both entirely constitutional. These are the only things that Hillary has advocated. In other words Trump's "abolish — the Second Amendment" words were dishonest fear mongering. Is Trump that dumb or does he just know how dumb his Trumpettes are?

CNN) — A US Secret Service official confirms to CNN that the USSS has spoken to the Trump campaign regarding his Second Amendment comments.

"There has been more more than one conversation" on the topic, the official told CNN.

The campaign told USSS Donald Trump did not intend to incite violence.

The controversy erupted on Tuesday afternoon when Trump said at a rally that Second Amendment defenders might be able to stop Clinton from appointing justices to the Supreme Court who could weaken gun rights.

The Trump Tower is 58 stories, could be going on for a long time. His motivation is obscure:

I was living in Manhattan back in 1977 when the original "human fly" went up the WTC. He made it all the way up in under 4 hours.

Octopus? Michael Phelps and others competing in water events in Rio have those suction marks. Perhaps there's more in the water than they're telling us. Making the pools murky green is part of the cover-up.

I've been reading a book, "The Politics of Unreason" which is a history of right wing extremism in the US from 1790 to 1970. The chapter I'm on now is about the 1968 presidential campaign of George Wallace and it reminds me a lot of the Trump campaign. Wallace was very careful to not call attention to his wingnut supporters (KKK, John Birchers, White Citizens Councils, etc.) but certainly had a lot of support from that segment. The only part of Wallace's campaign that doesn't fit in with Trump is that so far nobody has shot Trump's legs off. Can anyone imagine Trump in a wheelchair? I bet he can't.

His tiny hands would struggle with a wheelchair.

(George Wallace) Democratic presidential primaries of 1972 and assassination attempt (in Laurel, Maryland)

I was a suburban Maryland teen at the time. I remember disapproval, but not a lot of surprise.

He should visit Hillary's hairdresser; 600 bucks is a drop in the bucket.
