2016 Elections

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Cruz sex scandal! (I know, ewwwww!)
Yes, it's the Enquirer - maybe they can't prove aliens are taking over politician's brains, but how many times has the Enquirer been right on sex scandal? Eh, Mr. Edwards, Mr. Woods, Mr. Hart, et. al.?

Bad link, Yahoo! does that sometimes. This may work:

Alleged Ted Cruz Sex Scandal Had the Internet's Cruz Detractors Buzzing

Different article:
... Cruz said Tuesday that law enforcement should be empowered to “patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods before they become radicalized.” ...

If the National Enquirer is correct, maybe law enforcement should be empowered to patrol and secure Ted Cruz's neighborhood before it becomes any more debauched.

Ever since Gary Hart dared the press to "follow me around" back in 80-whatever, I'm always highly skeptical of sex scandals. I think, "seriously? They can't be that stupid, can they?" And yet, we're treated to John Edwards and a long line of others. I know the trash rags make up stuff, and make stuff that's nothing sound awful, and have had Angelina Jolie weighing 400 pounds and dead four times over, but this story does have that ring of stupid truth to it.

If the National Enquirer is correct, Scalia's death was a political assassination orchestrated by the CIA and carried out by a $2000/night hooker.

A late night revelation: "Donald Trump" contains approximately eleven letters. What other person's name contains eleven letters? That's right, ADOLF HITLER!

Is this mere coincidence, or proof of something sinister? How deep does the rabbit hole go!?!?

How deep? "bannination" contains eleven letters.

BTW, "Ronald Wilson Reagan" is 6-6-6 and its perfect anagram is "Insane Anglo Warlord".

Corporations Grow Nervous About Participating in Republican Convention

... Coca-Cola has declined to match the $660,000 it gave for the 2012 Republican convention, donating only $75,000 for this year and indicating that it does not plan to provide more.

Kent Landers, a Coca-Cola spokesman, declined to explain the reduction in support. But officials at the company are trying to quietly defuse a campaign organized by the civil rights advocacy group Color of Change, which says it has collected more than 100,000 signatures on a petition demanding that Coca-Cola and other companies decline to sponsor the convention. Donating to the event, the petition states, is akin to endorsing Mr. Trump’s “hateful and racist rhetoric.” ...

I'm still on the fence about wanting Bernie Sanders as prez. Right now for me its almost a tossup between Trump and Bernie. It's a battle between the little devil on my shoulder wanting to watch the world burn vs the little angel telling me otherwise. A battle between the world weary cynic filled with disgust for humanity and everything it holds dear vs the empathetic altruist that wants to give everybody a helping hand.

There's nothing wrong with empathetic altruism but Bernie would argue that education, healthcare, tolerance, less militarism, Wall Street controls and a vibrant middle class make America stronger and that's the main reason for pursuing them.
