The homophobic thread :>

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Boy howdy! That shook your dandruff loose, didn't it!

OK...put it this way......it's that "most Conservatives and Christians" that view sin for what it is are considered "hateful extremists" to you.
Because of my views, you call me hateful, bigoted, and homophobic...so why are you such a hateful and whiny liar?" :wtf:

It's not the views, Mr.B, it's the behaviour toward others and the attempt to impose religious standards on those with different "views."

People will always be skeptical, suspicious, wary, and afraid of things they don't understand. This will always be so.

But...we were referencing MY views as being "hateful, bigoted, and homophobic"; I haven't attempted to impose my Christian standards on anyone.....
I express my opinion and Christian beliefs, and I get run into the ground. :---P

Don't get excited; this is a generalized world.....a lot of religious folks of any stripe are the vilest form of hypocrites. I've seen this myself; it's not holy, it's not even honest. If you're one who does good at any opportunity because of Christian ideals, I salute you. You are a dying breed. Generally, in this generalized world, supposedly upstanding folks invoke religion in their ulterior motives. I think that's sick; to cloak hate and intolerance in religious finery.

Yes, part of your post was about you, but I was mostly commenting on... "it's that "most Conservatives and Christians" that view sin for what it is are considered "hateful extremists" to you..."

Maybe not you personally, but you gotta admit there are a lot out there who want the world run by their own religious standards, and who believe that "freedom of religion" only applies to them.

You have this hateful, arrogant way of taking one's words and twisting them; i.e., "hateful advocacy, you favor, sleazy false witness", etc.
I have expressed my personal opinions; I have not "advocated" any changes to current policies or laws, nor have I said I "favored" any changes.
You stress your caring about equality and non-discrimination, yet if someone opposes your opinion you turn into an ugly monster spouting hateful, twisted words and making "sleazy false witness" about what was really said. Why are you always so hateful?

"I express my opinion and Christian beliefs, and I get run into the ground."
"It's a mystery why you keep trying to push that lie past us when you've already admitted your hateful extreme discriminatory wishes:"
Where did I say I had any "discriminatory wishes"? A twisting of my words.
"You think equality should be prevented......."
I said nor thought no such a dunnit...I expressed my own opinion, I did not say that the scenarios you listed should be "prevented". Another of your lying twists.

"You're a bigot, you're obsessed with gays, and you've already admitted in detail that you want society to reflect your bigotry in both law and policy."
See my remark above about who you think are "bigots and hateful extremists". Another of your lies and twists. I'm obsessed with "gays"? Where in the world do you get that notion? Another of your lying twists. I have not admitted that I wanted society to do anything concerning law and policy, another lie and twist. (How long is your nose at this point?)

Well, it's all myths and legends. St. Patrick is Ireland's Arthur.
Of course Christianity had already been carried to Ireland. However, St. Patrick was a sort of hit man sent by the Catholic church. Did he actually kill anyone? Who knows. Given the history of conversion, I have no doubt non-believers were wacked for refusing to convert.

As for the snakes, the fact that the legend wasn't invented for several hundred years is irrelevant. Snakes are evil in the Christian lexicon. Snakes were religious symbols for many pagan religions, not just Druidism. (Fact is, we don't know as much about Druid practices as the neo-pagans would have us believe.)

Hmm. If the serpent was cursed to crawl on his belly, what was he before he became a slithering creature?

Usually it's a word that could be considered spam.... the latest one I had fixed was "pump" -- male enlargement. It's the web host, not something I'm doing locally.

This is what I was trying to post.....The censoring machine would not accept gay and sex as one expression in parentheses; i.e., "g** s**"

Vrede wrote: "The only person that posts more about "gay" sex here is homerfobe."

Is "here" not a thread about "homophobia"? Does "homophobia" not deal with "gay" sex? You and Homerfobe have the most "discussions" about "gay" sex, so you must include yourself as being obsessed with "gay" sex.

Know thyself, O'Great Teller of Untruths.

Oh yeah, thanks for the help.

"A blessed centipede?"
The Bible doesn't tell us; it only states that "the serpent was more subtil (subtle) than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made."

Also this: "..... be ye therefore wise as serpents....."

1. difficult to perceive or understand: subtle irony.
2. delicate or faint and mysterious: a subtle smile.

That could be construed to mean that the serpent was a creature in another form other than what we know today. At any rate, it/he appeared to be a wise creature, yet crafty and mysterious. God told Adam and Eve they would die if they partake of the fruit; the serpent told them they would not die; meaning God probably meant they would lose all that they were blessed with, and die a spiritual death, whereas the serpent meant they would not die a literal death just by disobeying God.

Uhhhh....you. You're the one who posts links to "gay" activities and keep up with "gay" marriage. opps!

:clap: :-||
That may be one of the top points made in a forum addressing gay rights ev-errrr!

You should know; you posted all the celebratory links to "gay" this and "gay" that; what is the gist of homosexuality if it doesn't deal with "gay" sex?

That's the point that Homerfobe and I speak of; Homey deals with it vile and harshly, whereas I have spoken against it as being an unnatural lust that goes against creation of male and female genders; whether that creation was Godly, or evolved; that you choose to believe.

FWIW, I am not "fascinated" by "gay" sex; I find it repulsive and un-Godly.
