Finally, I found the war on Christmas
Thankfully it appears to be almost over after Christmas won the big battle last month
previous regulations, hotels and other establishments could have their kosher certification revoked if there were photography, music or movie screenings on Shabbat, or if a Christmas tree was displayed during the holiday season.
“After decades, the Chief Rabbinate ended its policy of religious coercion related to Shabbat observance and Christmas,” Hiddush President Rabbi Uri Regev said in a statement. “The kashrut regulations for hotels, hostels and halls are now finally in line with the law, and truly deal only with matters of kashrut.”
Hiddush said the Chief Rabbinate had been in violation of the Kosher Fraud Law established in 2013, which states that “the kashrut inspector should only consider standards of kashrut alone in certifying an establishment as kosher

That doesn't count. Christmas trees are pagan symbols, not Christian.

It is really a good thing to see the Israelis allowing a little of our Christmas in their religious state. This has been a hard fought battle; even the 2013 law made no difference. We will see if the bearded ones go along with this allowing trees in the buildings mandated by their courts.
The article did say that until now you couldn't even play Jingle Bells -
But failed to describe the punishment for a Manger scene
Someone need to tell bill oreally, I bet he would jump all over them evil anti Christmas jews

Re: Finally, I found the war on Christmas
17th century American and British Puritans had laws forbidding the celebration of Christmas (because of its many pagan elements.) By the Declaration of Independence in 1776 it was not widely celebrated in the US.
Congress didn't take the day off to celebrate the holiday, and even held its first session on Christmas Day 1789. Some American schools continued to hold classes on December 25 until 1870, when Christmas was finally declared a holiday by Congress.
If there was ever a war on Christmas, it was by fundamentalist Christians and Christmas won.

Madison Avenue, Hallmark, Walmart and Amazon won.
To be fair, I sympathize with Seth Milner. It must be difficult to have a religion that's so shaky that it's harmed by whether a business or school says, "Merry Christmas". Maybe he should pick a more powerful God. Any should do, I'm unaware of other believers that whine like toddlers because government and stores don't say "Happy _____".

Merry ChriFSMas and Happy Holidays everyone. We are truly blessed by his Noodly Appendages.
Ramen.

Re: Finally, I found the war on Christmas
I reckon it ain't so unusual that Seth didn't make a comment about this country pushing a very real war on christmas.
So often the faux narrative falls to reality. While christians and an increasing number of muslims celebrate Christmas in Iran, the Israeli rabbi-dabbis are destroying the businesses of hard working people over a Christmas tree or jingle bells background music.
(you won't hear this on fox)

I guessed on the humidity -
Winds out of the north at 18 causing 6 ft waves rolling south
edit
correct humidity is 95

Re: Finally, I found the war on Christmas
The weather's waging war on Christmas, and December in general. Unofficial temperature in the Devil's Fork area is currently 71º, been pouring rain most of the day. Excellent day for Netflix, cold beer, and snacking. I told the fish they would have to wait, but me and sanny claws will be out tomorrow since it's his day off.
