Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

For those that use https (as everyone should) to connect here -- cert expired -- renewed, should be good now, no more warnings.

I am, but not intentionally. Why should everyone?

It's just safer, especially with session id's in cookies or log-in information (user/password) that anyone could grab should they put the effort in to actually do it. It offers a bit more privacy since no one can see what the traffic contains as it travels over the internet.

We're not exactly a high value target or anything, but it's something we offer that most? forums don't.

If one uses "https" in place of "http" it's more secure?

Yes. All of your traffic to/from a website is encrypted.
You aren't doing it wrong if no one knows what you are doing.

Thanks, good to know.

Sometimes, using "https" in place of "http" gets around blocked websites at work.
