How long will the nutters beat this dead horse? What difference does it make who attacked the consulate? Unless it turns out that it was a renegade Mossad hit squad, this is a non story. As far as I know, we STILL don't know who is actually responsible for it. And, again, what difference does it make? What difference does it make which tribe of malcontents did this? What difference does it make if Abu Musab al Zarquawi was resurrected and carried out the attack himself? An African country in the aftermath of a violent revolution that overthrew the established dictatorial government of decades, groups of illiterate religious zealots each and every one with automatic rifles running around with no restraint. I fail to understand what the America haters expect to get out of this; lies? It's not a lie if you don't know exactly what is going on and put out a statement that you've been given by the supposed ones who do know. And, for that matter, it's not unusual for America, or any other government, to put out incomplete or even misleading information in efforts to blur sources, methods, etc. What are you wishing for? Another attack that you can point to and say.....what?

How loud and long did you squeal about the lies told by the American government to the American people about Vietnam? How many people died for those lies? 4? 6? 12?

The man who exposed those lies (Ellsberg) was labeled a criminal.....is any of this beginning to shine on your cortex yet?

I haven't kept up with this thread much since my tin hat is in the cleaners, but wait - are you guys saying that a government official actually gave out less than all details on a national security matter?? :o I'm shocked! Shocked I say! I always thought when Nikki Heat tells Castle they can't publicly disclose certain information during an active investigation, it was just TV stuff. It's real? They didn't disclose every last detail they had discovered? Those scoundrels! Enquiring minds want to know.

As hard as it is to comprehend, or even have the cerebellum cease flapping enough to be able to comprehend, that is generally the way it works. I've not seen that tv show but have noticed in newspaper articles about local crime....they don't tell too much about what actually happened.....ESPECIALLY if they don't yet know what actually happened. I know it's hard to fathom, but it's really like that.

The President of the US and his cohorts lied.

It's that simple PBO. If you can accept that, so be it. Apparently you are botherd by other USG lies. Why not this one or is it because the lying this time involves OBama. Give him another pass! When does it stop?

Just think in a little over two months the ills caused by the "previous" administration will be no longer be the buzz word for the newly inaugurated President.

No, you're wrong. I haven't seen that Obama or anyone else has intentionally told any lies. Only in your world is it that simple. I think you meant to write "if you can't accept that...." above. I don't accept that anyone has told intentional lies about the events in Benghazi. Why do you think anyone did? Were you there? Did someone get spit on? I don't follow the wingunt anti logic on this. I've said what I think about this whole non issue more than once. Why don't you tell all of us why the truth that was exposed by Daniel Ellsberg, after a decade of American lying, was not so well received? Were you a con then? Was lying ok then? Why? I was for the truth then, and I'm for it now. Here's something I live by; if you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything. Here's something else I live by; if you don't know, don't pretend like you do. Both of these are highly recommended, and will invariably serve anyone who adheres to them very well.

You believe that? It will take me a long time to forget the damage done to our country by the lies of your heroes, the names of which you cannot bear to hear or even be referred to, as witnessed by your statement above. Try to stop and think about the definition of "lie" and how long is a lie a lie? Your heroes began lying in earnest in late 2002 and by March 2003 had lied enough to send our country to war? Do you remember that? I sure as hell do. And now, ten years later, your heroes still stand by those lies (they "blame" their lies on "faulty intelligence." )You should be proud, except you're pushing a double standard and evidently don't even realize it.

The wingnuts finally figured out that Ambassador Rice wasn't making things up out of
thin air, but was using intelligence service talking points that had been edited for
security reasons. Most people with common sense would be able to get it, but that
leaves the nutters out. Talk about sore losers, the nutjobs take the cake.

You already got shot down with that lie, but you keep posting it. Only a truly dishonest person with no ethics or morals would be so brazen.

How long did it take Dick H. Cheney to admit that Iraq had nothing to do with September 11th? 8 years?

Never admitting you're wrong, maintaining you're right in the face of mountains of evidence. Add in a little cut-and-run, and you have Butt Ugly's idol.

Hmmm..let's see. Obammy and company made the early call based on the "intell"assessment at that time. Bush and company, plus a lot of other countries and members of the US Congress, made their call based on the "intell" assessment. So which way is it going to be? It's either Bush and Obama's fault or "intell's" fault.

PBO, who is it I said were my heroes?

Bush/Cheney pushed for bad intel. Obama took as it was coming in. Bush/Cheney had time to get it right but ignored key evidence. Obama adjusted opinion as new intel came in.

So Bush/Cheney pushed for bad intell?? Just how do you do that and how do you, Bush/Cheney, convince all those coalition countries to come along.

What the hell is wrong with you? This is well-documented history.

The CIA itself told Bush II/Cheney that the allegations of Saddam's efforts to obtain additional raw uranium from Africa were false. They had sent former U.S. Ambassador Joseph Wilson in to investigate.

Bush II/Cheney/Powell/etc. lied about it anyway. They know that the allegations were disproven, and used them to drag the country - and others - into war. Powell and others fully admit that they were lying. And when Ambassador Wilson contradicted him, they committed treason again by outing his wife as a CIA agent.

They even made the CIA apologize to them for getting it wrong - even though it's the CIA that got it right. It almost matches the moment when the guy Cheney shot in the face apologized to Cheney on TV for getting shot.

There is no sign, none at all, of Obama repeating Bush II's "intelligence failure" lies.

Liar, smiar, answer me this - which of the following people don't lie:
Politicians
CEO's
Lawyers
Sales people
Statisticians
News reporters
Preachers
Expert witnesses
Entertainers
Yada

Point being, people are going to lie, if you define "lie" to include any statement made without all the essential information, and/or if you include the answer to "honey do these pants make my ass look fat" as a "lie."
