I bet there's a decent chance he's gonna be canned. Trump shared a (not so) subtle tweet with the #FireFauci hash tag. He's probably testing the waters.
Has anybody heard or read any stories about this virus in Russia? I haven't. I just think that's kind of weird. It makes me wonder if black bread and vodka hold the cure.

I like the fact that several states are forming pacts among themselves to determine when to open and such things. Sounds like there's a benefit to working together towards a common purpose. Once this reaches more states I'm going to suggest we call it "The United States of America".

Governors in the Northeast and along the West Coast on Monday announced separate state compacts to coordinate one of their biggest challenges in the weeks to come: How to begin reopening society amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The governors, all but one of them Democrats, made separate announcements just hours after President Donald Trump said on Twitter that it was his decision to decide when to “open up the states."
They did not announce specific plans on how to scale back stay-at-home orders or reopen businesses. Instead, both groups said they would coordinate those decisions while first considering the health of residents. New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy said it could take time.
“The house is still on fire," he said during a conference call with reporters. “We still have to put the fire out, but we do have to begin putting in the pieces of the puzzle that we know we’re going to need ... to make sure this doesn’t reignite.”
His state is in a coalition with its Northeastern neighbors — Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. Massachusetts, the only one of the states involved with a Republican governor, was announced as a member later in the day Monday....

He'd probably have a better argument if he were saying he had authority to close down stuff in a state. But given the authority governors have in their states to take action for (e.g.) public health issues, it's a real stretch for the impeached pretend president* to say he can make stuff open up. In the former case, he could argue he's acting on behalf of the state, but in the current, he's clearly trying to over-ride what is without question the right of the governor. Will this idiocy never end?

I didn't watch today's briefing BUT I heard about the propaganda video Trump showed. So, I went and found it. LIES to the max! Seems to HAVE created quite the uproar!
Donald Trump has used a White House press briefing on coronavirus to play a campaign-style video attacking the media. The video comprised clips from Trump’s preferred network, Fox News, praising his record on the pandemic. CNN and MSNBC cut away from the briefing, calling the video ‘propaganda’. At the rest of the briefing an agitated Trump angrily lashed out at reporters for questioning his response and insisted ‘everything we did was right’ while the media was ‘guilty’
