Good advice
An old German saying often attributed to Ben
Franklin: In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water
there is bacteria.

In a
number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if
we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have
absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. coli) - bacteria found
in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of
poop.

However,
we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum,
whiskey or other liquors) because alcohol has to go through a purification
process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.


Remember:
Water =poop,
Wine = Health


Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water
and be full of shit.

Well you see, Norm, it’s like this… A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, the slowest and weakest ones at the back are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

True story. College biology many years ago. A night class, so we had students who weren't teenagers, who had jobs in the real world, and many who drove varying distances from the the sticks to the big city. Mainly a bunch of kids in their early to late twenties.

We were on the chapter involving the endocrine system, and the instructor was talking about testosterone. He mentioned that both men and women manufacture testosterone. When discussing the functions of testosterone, he stated that one of the functions was "to make you horny."

One young country girl in the back raised her hand and shouted out, "When you drink, does your testosterone level go up?"

Broke up the college biology class.

I think several of the guys were offering to take her out for a drink after class.
